12 Pieces Of Princess Leia’s Jewelry And Costumes You Can Own

Princess Leia was one of the greatest forces in the galaxy. When her planet Alderaan was destroyed by the Death Star, she made sure that the plans to destroy it were delivered safely to the Rebellion. She was a key member of the rebellion and a true leader. She set out to end the reign of Darth Vader and the Empire, and her perseverance paid off.

Princess Leia’s wardrobe reflected her inner strength as well as her carefree spirit. Whether she wore a white dress with twin braids or an extravagant golden bikini, Leia always looked amazing. Here are 12 iconic pieces of Princess Leia’s jewelry and costumes you can own:

A few years ago, I had the opportunity to interview one of my favorite actresses, Carrie Fisher, for a blog about her jewelry line. After our interview, I told her how much I loved her work and that she was the first movie character I ever dressed up as for Halloween. She laughed and said she wished she would have gotten more money from George Lucas for all the free costume ideas he got from her.

I am sure if you ask any girl between the ages of 3 and 80 who their favorite Star Wars character is, they will say Princess Leia. And this week, Star Wars fans around the world are mourning Fisher’s death and remembering what made the actress so special to them: her talent, wit and humor.

For those of us who grew up in the ’70s and ’80s, Carrie Fisher was more than just an actress; she was a fashion icon whose style inspired many of our childhood memories. And thanks to eBay sellers, you can now buy replicas of some of Princess Leia’s most iconic looks. Here are 12 pieces that are currently available for purchase:

If you’re anything like me, Princess Leia is the character you dress up as for Halloween. Who doesn’t want to rock that iconic white gown and put their hair into buns? Leia has such a great style, and she’s known for her jewelry as much as her outfits. Her gold chainlink belt, the starburst clip in her bun, and the infamous slave Leia bikini are just a few of her most recognizable pieces. In fact, there have been so many awesome pieces worn by Leia that you can actually purchase them all.

If you’re having a hard time deciding which pieces to buy, check out this list. It’s got all of the most memorable pieces worn by Leia in the original trilogy (yes, I’m ignoring prequels here), so you can be sure your collection is complete. Whether you’re dressing up as the princess yourself or just want to look like her on a regular day, these are the best costumes and jewelry pieces to buy from A New Hope all the way through Return of the Jedi.

No matter how badly things get for our heroine in The Force Awakens, at least we know she’ll be looking great every step of the way.

The “Princess Leia Collection” has everything you need to dress up as the famous Star Wars heroine.

The beloved princess and leader of the rebellion died in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” but Carrie Fisher’s legacy lives on, as fans around the world continue to pay tribute to her and her iconic character.

To honor both, Christie’s Auction House, which is selling Fisher’s personal belongings from her estate, is presenting the Princess Leia Collection — an assortment of 12 pieces from “A New Hope,” “The Empire Strikes Back” and “Return of the Jedi.”

On June 27, Christie’s will be hosting a public exhibition of the collection at their main headquarters in Rockefeller Center in New York City. The items will then go up for auction online starting July 10 and will be sold in person July 13 at Christie’s headquarters.

Star Wars fans, rejoice! You can now purchase pieces from Princess Leia’s iconic slave costume, including her collar and the infamous chain she wore as Jabba’s prisoner.

Princess Leia’s iconic costume continues to be a favorite for cosplayers, but now you can wear it at home, too. Her universe has designed a robe and nightgown of Princess Leia’s white gown from A New Hope, as seen in the photo below. The robe is embroidered with the Rebel Alliance and Twin Suns logos, as well as a belt buckle that is based on the belt in the movie. The robe retails for $60 and the nightgown for $50.

The most iconic pieces of Princess Leia’s costume are her hair buns, which were inspired by Star Wars creator George Lucas’ wife Marcia Lucas’ hairdo. Now you can have your own hair buns with this Princess Leia hair accessory set from Her Universe. The set includes two brown hair buns that are held together by metal combs and retail for $14.

Princess Leia’s detailed belt buckle was inspired by western metal buckles and Native American styles, according to Star Wars Insider
