For this first costume, all you need is a long-sleeved shirt, a pair of leggings, and an old mop head or broom head (yes, really). The leggings will be the handle and the mop head will be the “mop.” Just attach them to the shirt in any way that works for you. Voila! You are now a mop.

This is an easy costume to pull together with items you probably already have at home. You’ll need black pants, a long sleeve shirt and a vest or jacket. If you don’t have these items or don’t have them in black, try checking out a thrift store for low-cost options. You can also use any style of pants that you like. For the hat, either use a ball cap or make your own using a paper plate and elastic string. Punch holes in the sides of the plate and thread the elastic through them to create the hat style you want. You can also add any other accessories that you’d like such as gloves and/or goggles (I highly recommend goggles!).

If you’re a cleaning fanatic, get into the Halloween spirit by dressing up as one of these seven easy costumes.
