Sailor Moon Costume

Sailor Moon is a popular cartoon series. This is the story of a young girl who has been chosen to defend the planet against evil. She uses her special powers to fight against villains and monsters. The costumes are inspired by the Japanese schoolgirl uniforms, with pleated skirts and sailor-style collars.

The Sailor Moon Costumes are available in several versions including:

The costumes feature either short skirts or long skirts, depending on the character that you are going to be portraying. They also have belts, bows and buns that are used for decoration purposes only, as well as necklaces, armbands and even boots for some of the characters. There is also a costume for Luna, which is one of the main characters from the television show.

The Sailor Moon costume is a popular costume among girls. It’s not hard to see why; Sailor Moon (Usagi Tsukino) is a cute, smart and brave girl who transforms into a magical warrior. What little girl wouldn’t want to be like her?

In order to make this costume, you need to make the skirt and top of Usagi’s school uniform. You can use a white turtleneck for the shirt and a pleated blue skirt for the bottom.

Next comes Usagi’s transformation brooch. Use pink felt and decorate it with glitter glue or paint. Cut out a small yellow crescent moon from craft foam or felt and attach it to the brooch with glue or hot glue.

The last step of this Sailor Moon costume is making the headband with two rabbit ears attached to it. This can be made using the same material as the brooch, or by cutting off two rabbit ears from an old stuffed animal.

You may have seen the Sailor Moon costume that my daughter Stephanie and I made for her to wear to a local anime convention. We worked on it for about a year, and over that time we designed many versions of it. The final version used a technique called “laser cutting” to make many of the details.

This article will describe how we made the costume, and also show some of the designs we considered along the way.

This is the deluxe version of our Sailor Moon costume. The leotard and skirt are made from a beautiful stretch velvet with stretch tricot. We add a black crushed velvet waist detail. The front bow is made from the same material as the leotard. We add a ribbon choker with a moon charm. For the gloves we use white stretch velour.

This costume is meant to be worn with a petticoat underneath for fullness. The petticoat does not come with this costume but we offer it in our accessories page if you need one.
