M&M costume patterns are sold by Simplicity, McCall’s, and Butterick. You can purchase a pattern online at the Simplicity website. M&M costumes can be made using basic sewing skills, fabric and stuffing. M&M costume patterns come in sizes for adults and children.
The M&M costumes come with instructions on how to make the following:
Red M&M costume with red hood
Green M&M costume with green hood
Blue M&M costume with yellow hood
Instructions:
Cut out the pieces of the pattern according to the instructions on the pattern envelope
Sew together the front and back pieces of each of the three sections (red body, yellow head, green head) following the instructions on the pattern envelope. Hint: when doing this stitching, do not sew up one side all the way to make it easier to stuff later.
Cut out a piece of white felt or other fabric for each eye and four small pieces for each hand (make sure to cut two for each hand). Sew these elements onto the front section of each costume.
