Fun and Simple DIY Halloween Costume Ideas

So you forgot to make your costume for the Halloween party this weekend? No worries, I have a few ideas for some fun and simple DIY Halloween costumes that you can put together quickly.

This first costume is a cute idea for someone who is going to be out and about with their friends all night in the cold. Throw on a bright dress, some leggings, and knee high boots. Then take one of your boyfriend’s hoodies, cut off the sleeves, tie it around your waist and you’re good to go! Add some makeup to match the dress and you’re set!

This next costume is super easy and great if you’re going to be hitting up a local bar on Halloween night. Take a black dress and cut up the sleeves. You can add some fabric paint or glitter glue to spruce it up a bit, but it looks great just plain too. Then grab a pair of fishnets or some tights that have holes in them already. Put on some heels, grab your purse and you’re ready to head out and find some candy!

The last costume idea I have is perfect if you’re trying to find something comfy but still festive for Halloween night! Grab an oversized t-shirt, preferably one that has a cat face on

We have been busy this week sharing some fun and unique DIY costumes! I have to say, there are so many cool ideas out there, it is hard to choose my favorites. Here are some of the amazing costumes that caught my eye this week:

Barbie Costume via The Sweetest Occasion: I love the color scheme of this Barbie costume. So pretty!

Crayon Costume via Lemon Jitters: This is such a creative idea! This would be a great costume for siblings.

Peacock Costume via Studio DIY: How fun is this?! Definitely one of my favorite costumes from this year.

Ninja Turtle Costume via Oh Happy Day!: I am so impressed with how well these came out! They seriously look like they could be in the movie!

Pizza Wreath via Design Improvised: What a fun idea for kids! This would also be a great costume for siblings.

Gummy Bear Costume via Oh Happy Day!: How cute is this?! It would be so easy to put together too. You could even use felt instead of fabric if you wanted to avoid sewing altogether.

Popcorn Stand Costumes via Design Improvised: These are absolutely adorable and look so easy to put together too! Just buy an apron and make some

If you are looking for a simple and inexpensive costume, but don’t want to wear the same thing that everyone else is, I’ve got some great ideas for you!

For the past couple of years, I have made all of my costumes. There are so many cute DIY Halloween costumes out there that I have a hard time choosing which one to make. This year I decided to go as Barbie. Here’s how I did it!

I found a box big enough to fit around me at Goodwill and spray painted the outside of it pink. Then I glued on some white ribbon along the edges to make it look like a present. I wrapped myself up in some wrapping paper, (you could also use pink fabric), and then taped the box shut with clear packing tape. It only took about 2 rolls of tape!

I also spray painted a pair of foam flip flops silver and stuck them on my feet before taping up the box.

You can find a short blonde wig at any Halloween store for less than $20.

Add a little black eyeliner around your eyes and pink lipstick and you’re done!

Halloween is a fun time to dress up in a crazy costume and have some Halloween fun! Here are some easy Halloween costume ideas for women, men and kids.

Barbie Costume: Everyone loves Barbie, so why not be the most popular girl at the party by dressing up as Barbie? This costume is quick and easy to put together. You will need a pair of denim shorts, a pink shirt, pink high heels, a black wig and bright pink lipstick. To finish it off you can use fake eyelashes and some white eye shadow.

Cat Costume: It doesn’t get much easier than this! For this costume you will need a black dress or top and black bottoms or leggings. Next you will want to make yourself some cat ears. You can do this by cutting out two pieces of felt in the shape of cat ears, then gluing them onto a headband to secure them in place. You can also use markers or fabric paint to add detail such as black spots or lines. Finally add a tail using an old sock that has been stuffed with newspaper or other materials to make it stand upright.

Zombie Costume: For this costume you can’t go past an old suit for the guys and an old dress for the girls. The more

One of my favorite things about Halloween is dressing up! I am planning on going to a party this year, and although I’m still not sure what I’ll be, something I have seen on Pinterest is really fun and easy.

What you’ll need:

A pink shirt

A blue tutu skirt that goes down to your knees with a black belt

Black thigh high socks

Any black shoes (I used combat boots)

Barbies face painted on your belly in pink and purple make-up

Pink lipstick for your lips and cheeks

Pink eye shadow for your eyes and eyebrows (to match the barbie theme)

Barbie is a classic. Every little girl dreams of being a Barbie, so why not make your dream come true this Halloween?

First, you will need to find the perfect Barbie inspired outfit. If you want to go for a more traditional look, then try on a pink dress with lots of tulle and some silver platform heels. Add a hot pink clutch and some sparkly jewelry to complete the look.

If you want to create a more modern Barbie inspired costume, then try on an all white skater dress and matching gladiator sandals. Add a white belt and add some color into your look with chunky necklaces, bracelets, and earrings.

If you have long blonde locks like Barbie, then straighten your hair using a flat iron and put it in half up pigtails. You can also use clip in extensions if you don’t have long hair naturally. You can also buy a blonde wig at any party store or online to get the perfect Barbie look.

Top off your look with bright pink lipstick, smokey eyeshadow, and false eyelashes for the perfect Barbie costume this Halloween!
