This is a costume made after the outfit worn by Nairobi in Money Heist (La Casa De Papel). She wears this outfit when she is doing the heist and helping to print money using her skills as a printing press operator. This costume isn’t too complicated, but it does require some skill with a sewing machine and patience.

The pants are a pair of black pants from Goodwill that were $4. I used some scissors and cut off the top half of the pants and then made sure they were tight enough for my thighs. You can sew them up if you need to make them tighter, but this will also make them shorter so be careful!

The shirt is also from Goodwill and was $3. I cut off all of the sleeves except for one piece on each side which will be used later to attach onto another piece of fabric that goes over your shoulders. The front has holes cut out in order to show your cleavage, but you can decide whether or not you want those there – just keep in mind that this shirt was originally

Hey girl, do you like the look of designer clothes? How about those hip red bottoms but don’t have the dough to buy them? No worries. I’m going to show you how to get the look for less!

1. Find a dress pattern that is similar in style and proportion to the designer clothes.

2. Find a fabric store near your home that has a good selection of fabrics. (You can also use this method with thrift store clothing, but more on that later.)

3. Pick out a fabric that is similar in color and texture to the designer clothes. Once you have all your materials, your ready to start sewing! Using thread that matches the fabric, finish all edges of the fabric first with a zig zag stitch or overlocking stitch on your machine. Then follow the instructions from your pattern to cut and sew your garment together. The trickiest part is getting the collar and neckline right, so pay special attention there! Sewing is not hard once you get some practice, but if you’re still nervous about making clothing from scratch, try just adding trim or embellishments (like pretty buttons or beads) to an existing piece of clothing

For our first trick, we will take an ordinary outfit and turn it into a Vera Wang evening gown. This is great for that wedding or formal affair that you have been dreading because of your wardrobe. To start, pick up an old dress shirt and some plain black fabric at the thrift store. Next, go to a craft store and purchase some fabric spray paint. For this project, we recommend metallic gold or silver. The spray paint is easy to use and adds a little bling to any outfit.

Now, pin the black fabric to the back of your shirt as shown in this photo (if you don’t know how to pin fabric together, see our video on sewing). Spray paint the gold or silver onto your shirt while it is pinned together with the other fabric behind it. When it dries, unpin your shirt and enjoy! You now have a Vera Wang-inspired evening gown for only $10! As an added bonus, the extra fabric from both these projects can be used
