First, let me say that I am not a dresser. I feel lucky anytime I can match my socks. So when my daughter wanted to be the Queen of Hearts for Halloween, I was a little nervous. Her costume came in two pieces and required no sewing. The bodice is made of the same stretchy fabric as a swimsuit and has boning sewn into it to keep its shape. The skirt is made of thin layers of tulle attached to an elastic waistband that has Velcro sewn onto the ends so it can be adjusted by 1/2 inch increments. It’s hard to describe how adorable this dress looks on my daughter. She loves wearing it and will often put it on just to wear around the house. But here are the downsides: we have had the dress for about 4 months now and both pieces have already begun to fray at the ends where they have been continuously stepped on during play time.
