Jessica Rabbit is a very famous character from the movie Who Framed Roger Rabbit. She is the beautiful, sultry wife of Roger, the titular character. Jessica Rabbit is known for her hourglass figure and her red gown. A costume based on Jessica Rabbit’s outfit can be worn for Halloween or other events where a costume is appropriate. With some patience and planning, you can create a Jessica Rabbit costume for yourself or your child.

Steps

1 Buy a red dress that fits well and that falls to your knees or lower. You need a dress that fits properly in order to make alterations to it. A strapless dress will look more like the one Jessica wears in the movie, but you can also use a dress with spaghetti straps if you prefer. The dress should fit well around your bust but be loose around your torso and hips to create the hourglass effect.

2 Cut a slit in the left side of the skirt up to about mid-thigh, exposing leg (or wear shorts underneath). Be careful not to cut too much off; you may want to add fabric later if you need more coverage on top of your leg. The slit should fall just above where your leg meets your hip when you are wearing the dress.

3 Sew black lace
