I am Elsa, the Snow Queen. You can dress like me too! Follow these steps and you will be the Best Elsa Ever!
1. I have long blond hair, but you can use your own hair if you like. My mommy helped me and we attached a long curly blond wig to my head with lots of bobby pins. It was pretty easy!
2. I have a blue sparkly dress that is floor-length. I got mine from the store, but my mommy says if she had more time she would have made it for me herself. You could make one yourself, or buy one from a store too.
3. I have some shoes that look like slippers, which are sparkly on the outside and comfy on the inside. They are not plastic though! My mommy says those are bad for your feet, so she got me some from a store that look just like plastic but they’re actually made out of leather and cloth, so they are better for my feet than real plastic ones would be…but almost as comfy as plastic ones!
4. I have a crown because I am the Snow Queen, but you could also use a tiara instead or just wear really sparkly earrings or necklace if

Here’s how to make a DIY Elsa costume!
First, let’s start with the dress. I’ll be showing you how to make a no-sew costume, so don’t worry if you don’t have any sewing skills.
Elsa’s dress is a gorgeous shade of light blue. To get that color, start with a white dress or skirt and dye it using Rit Dye in “Sky Blue.” Make sure to follow the directions on the package carefully.
Once your dress is dyed, it’s time to add embellishments. I cut out some snowflakes from felt and glued them onto my skirt and sleeves using Elmer’s glue.
If you’d like to go above and beyond for your Elsa costume, you can even dye some white gloves and wear them with your Frozen costume!
I hope this article helps you create a beautiful Elsa costume for Halloween or cosplay!
Elsa has been the most loved and adored princesses since she arrived in 2013. From her long blonde hair, to her beautiful blue outfit, Elsa is a princess that any girl would want to be. Since Frozen, Elsa has taken over the world, and now you can dress just like her. Here is how:
1. Hair
The first thing you will need is a wig that looks just like Elsa’s hair. Try to find one as close as possible to her style. This means it should be long, blonde and straight! Once you have your wig all you have to do is put it on!
2. Dress
Your next step is your dress! You can pick out your favorite Elsa costume from the store, or you can make your own like I did! When you make your own you get to choose just how blue it will be, and what kind of sparkles are on it! If you are unsure about making your own there are many different blog posts with instructions on how to make an Elsa dress! Just google it and follow the instructions. If you don’t want to make one there are many different dresses at stores all over the place. You could even try going thrifting to find a dress that looks like Elsa’s. The choices are
Try on your costume and walk around in it. You want to make sure that you can walk in your shoes and move freely in the skirt part of the dress. If you find yourself tripping over the dress or falling out of your shoes, try hemming up the bottom of the skirt or wearing lower shoes.
Take some time to look at the other pieces of this costume, such as gloves, tiaras, and wands. You may be able to find these items at a thrift shop or in a toy store. If not, you can also make them using craft supplies that are available at any craft store or hobby shop.
To make gloves for your Elsa costume, purchase white satin fabric and cut it into long strips that are about 2 inches wide. Then wrap the ends together to create a ring and close them with either hot glue or fabric tape. The wands can be made using wire hangers and tin foil, which can be wrapped around the wire hanger to create a wand-like shape.
For those who want to do extra work on their costumes, adding glitter can really make your costume pop! This can be done by purchasing fine glitter that is available in various colors at arts & crafts stores. Then, use glitter glue to
I am so excited to share this awesome DIY project with you! I created an Elsa costume for my daughter and she couldn’t be happier. You see, my daughter is obsessed with Frozen (aren’t most kids?) and she wanted to be Elsa for Halloween. She’s been wearing her costume since September!
I knew this was a big deal for her so I wanted to find something that looked as close to the real thing as possible, but at a fraction of the cost. The first thing I did was look online at other costumes that people had made. Then, I started looking around my house and decided on the materials I needed to buy. Luckily, I already had most of them right in my sewing room!
