This blog is about how to resemble your favorite anime character. This is a two part blog: hair and makeup followed by clothing. I will be focusing on the Kill Bill character.
First let’s start with the hair. The trickiest thing about getting hair like this is the color. This will require you to dye your hair. You can use a semi-permanent or permanent dye, depending on how long you want it to last.
I would recommend using a semi-permanent dye first so that you can see how it looks before committing to something permanent. For the color, I would recommend Splat’s “pink fetish”, but you can go with any pink that you find suits you best. Next we will move onto the makeup portion of our guide! A lot of people forget about makeup when trying to look like a particular person but it really does make all the difference! So for our eyeshadow we will use a light pink all over our eyelid, and then take a darker pink and apply it in the crease of our eye, blending it upwards until under your eyebrow bone. If you want the same style as Uma Thurman wore in Kill Bill, go to www.dafont.com and search for “Ruritania.” Click on the font and then click on “download,” which is in the middle of the screen under the big font name. This will be a zip file so you have to unzip it before you can use it.
You should now have a file called “ruritania.ttf” downloaded into your computer. If you are using a Mac, double click on it and then click “install font.” Now your Mac should have this font installed on it. If you are using Windows, just copy this file into your Windows folder>Fonts folder (which is usually under C drive.) If you cannot find the folder, just google where to install fonts on Windows or whatever operating system you are using.
Once you have installed the font, now open up MS Word (or any word processing software) and type using that new font that we just installed! It’s that simple!
