1. Buy a bunch of candy. The more the better!
2. Watch scary movies (I recommend “The Nightmare Before Christmas”)
3. Get a costume. There are tons of Halloween costumes out there, so find one that fits you!
4. Tell ghost stories on Halloween night with your friends and family!

Every October, people wonder how they can get into the Halloween spirit. Is it all about the costumes? The horror movie marathons? The spooky decorations? Though these are all great ways to get into the spirit of Halloween, this year I recommend trying something different: make your own deku costume!
Deku costumes are fun and easy to make, and allows you to express your creativity. These costumes are perfect for cosplay or even for Halloween itself!
First, you will need a green hoodie. If you don’t have one on hand, you can purchase one at the thrift store for around $5.00. For the pants, go with either green tights or leggings. You can also use green sweatpants if you’re not afraid of getting hot while wearing your costume!
Next, you will need a pair of yellow gloves or socks. These can be found at any craft store or online. Cut holes in an old shirt and sew them onto your gloves/socks. If you do not have a sewing machine on hand, you can easily sew them by hand using a needle and thread.
Now that we have our outfit all set up it’s time to add some finishing touches!
Halloween is coming up, and I want to be in the holiday spirit. To get in that spirit, I need to find a costume. This year I want to go as Deku from My Hero Academia.
Deku is a superhero character in the popular Japanese manga series My Hero Academia. In the story, Deku is a middle school student who wants to attend U.A., a high school for superheroes. Deku’s superpower is called “One for All,” and it allows him to become stronger as he trains more and more.
Deku has green hair, wears glasses, and lives with his mother. He likes fried chicken and carrots — but he only eats them separately! Deku wore a costume that resembled a green frog when he was younger, but now he wears green clothes with an orange belt and jacket over top of it all that says “Deku” on the back.
I think this costume will make me feel like a superhero!

If you’re like me, you may have been thinking about dressing up as your favorite super hero or villain. You might also be wondering how you can best represent that character while staying within your budget. This week I’m going to share some tips on how to make your own Deku costume!
As many of you know, Deku is the main character from My Hero Academia. He’s a young boy who dreams of becoming a hero, despite not having any powers of his own. I started watching this show last month and absolutely love it! The character design is incredible, and my favorite part has to be when Deku fights with his wooden sword.

I know, I know. It’s not even October yet. But it’s never too early to start planning your costume! I mean, why not? You’ll be able to save money on materials, and you’ll be able to plan a costume that is sure to blow everyone else’s out of the water!
If you’re struggling for ideas, try thinking about who you want to be for Halloween. This can lead to some pretty awesome costumes. For example, maybe you want to be a witch this year, but you don’t want to go all out with the green face paint, the pointy hat, and the broomstick. Instead of being a witch, try being a cat! Or a bat! Or even a ghost! All of these costumes are great choices if you love cats (or bats, or ghosts).

Looking for a fun, easy costume to wear this Halloween? I think you should try the “deku” costume!
When it comes to dressing up for Halloween, most people don’t know where to start. It’s important to have a good idea of what you want to be before you start buying materials. I enjoy making costumes from scratch, and I have created several over the years. This year, though, I chose to make a deku costume. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this character, he is from the video game “Legend of Zelda.”
After looking at many different pictures of Deku characters and watching youtube videos on how to make this costume, I decided that I would follow the tutorial by Nick Pro on how to make a deku mask. First, I started off with a green shirt and some brown fabric paint which I used to make the vest. After painting the brown spots onto my vest and letting it dry overnight, I made my mask by following an online tutorial. Overall, this costume took about three days to complete and was relatively inexpensive.
