How to Make a Moana Costume

I love the movie Moana and my daughter also loves it. I was looking for an idea for Halloween, and my daughter wanted to be a beautiful princess, so I thought why not make her a costume of moana?

In this article I will show you how I made the costume and how you can build your own.

Moana’s dress

The dress is very easy to do. All you need is two pieces of fabric. You can use different colors if you want, but in this case we would have used a plain one color fabric. The only problem with this is that the dress would look a bit boring, so we decided not to use any color at all.

Moana is a Polynesian princess, who sets out on a journey to save her people. In order to do so, she must travel across the seas and restore order in the universe. If you have seen this Disney movie, you will know that it is full of adventure, culture, and fun! So what better way to celebrate Halloween than by dressing up as Moana?

If you are worried about making your own costume for Halloween, don’t be! There are so many easy ways to make costumes at home. For example, you could use old clothes or pieces of fabric to create a dress or shirt. You could even take apart an old pair of pants and sew them together again into something new! That way it won’t cost much money either!

Hi there, I’m Moana! If you love my movie as much as I do (I’ve watched it at least 20 times!), then you probably want to dress up as me for Halloween. But you don’t know how to make a Moana costume. Don’t worry, I have your back!

First of all, let me tell you a little about myself. My full name is Moana Waialiki and I’m the only daughter of Motunui’s chief Tui. I am 16 years old and my skin color is brown (but not too dark). My hair is curly and black, but my eyes are blue! Oh and by the way, don’t let my beautiful features fool you: I can be quite the adventurer!

As a future chief, my family expected me to stay on the island with them. But instead, I decided to go on an extravagant adventure that would take me across the sea on a boat. And now I have become a hero to my people because they were in great need of food and other resources to survive.

My adventures wouldn’t have been possible without Maui, who is demigod of wind and sea. His power

I love, love, love Moana! If you know me at all you will know that I love Disney movies. I think they are so fun to watch and all of the characters are lovable and interesting. Moana is no exception. She is strong, brave and just wants to make her people proud.

Moana is a great costume for Halloween or for a Disneybound. It is not too difficult to put together and there are so many ways that you can do it. Here we will be going over some different ideas for your Moana Costume.

Moana is an adventurous teenager and the daughter of Motunui’s chief Tui. She is also the long lost daughter of the Earth Mother Goddess, Te Fiti. During her journey, she wears several outfits, but her most iconic look is the costume she wears in almost all promotional material. It consists of a two-piece outfit. The upper part of her costume is made from a white fabric with light blue flower patterns on it and it has a sweetheart neckline. The shoulder straps are made from dark blue fabric with light blue floral patterns on them as well. She wears leaves that act as arm cuffs and completes her look with a necklace made from seashells, flowers and a green gemstone which represents Te Fiti’s heart. Her bottoms are white with blue flower designs as well, similar to her top.

In this Moana Costume guide, we will be showing you how to recreate Moana’s look for Halloween or cosplay!

We cannot wait for the movie Moana to come out! It looks like such a great movie and we love that Disney is featuring a Polynesian princess. To get ready for the movie, we made our own Moana costume. Here is how you can make your own Moana costume too!

The dress is fairly simple, but has a lot of details. To start, we used yellow fabric paint to paint the leaf pattern on a white tank top. We pre-drew the leaf design on paper and pinned it to the shirt to get the spacing just right. Then we used a pencil to lightly sketch out the veins of the leaves. Finally, we filled in the leaves with fabric paint, and voila!

For the skirt, we cut circles out of green tulle and tor them along the bottom edge for a frayed look. Then we attached each layer to some elastic waistband using safety pins. We started with 2 layers for Makani and 3 for Moana, but ended up adding one more for additional fullness.

Make sure you don’t pin too far down or you will have trouble getting your hips through! We made sure that all of our layers were staggered so that they wouldn’t line up on top of each other (this would create less volume).

We also added some seashells to her costume using hot glue and safety pins. I love how all of these details came together!
