Halloween is in just over a month! We’ve been sharing some of our favorite costume and makeup tutorials for the big day. Today, we’re excited to share with you this Ursula costume and makeup tutorial by Torrii of The Beauty District.

This tutorial uses makeup, clothing and accessories that you probably already own, so it’s the perfect last-minute costume idea. If you don’t have some of the items, they can be easily substituted or purchased at your local drugstore or party store.

How to Look Maleficent | Tutorial Ideas For Halloween

To dress up like Maleficent from the new movie, follow these steps:

Apply a base of black eyeliner in your hairline on both sides of your face. You will want to draw a line across your forehead and down towards your cheekbones. Use black eyeshadow to blend it out so there are no harsh lines.

Use black eyeliner to line both top and bottom inside rims of eyes. Using a small angled brush, use the same black shadow to smudge out the liner along the lashes. This will give you a smokey effect. Apply mascara (black).

This Maleficent costume is perfect for Halloween, cosplay, comic con or dress up. Inspired by the classic Disney villain Maleficent, this costume features a black velvet corset with overskirt, horns and detachable collar. Corset laces up in back and has boning so it remains structured on your body. Overskirt has a snap closure in back and is lined with satin. Horns are hand sculpted and painted by me, then attached to a headband for easy wear. Collar is also handmade from black faux leather.
