Save the Clock Tower! Marty McFly Jeans Cosplay Tutorial

Welcome to the Marty McFly Jeans Cosplay Tutorial, PART 1. This tutorial is to help you make your own Marty McFly jeans. These are the jeans Marty wears during his adventure in Back to the Future 2, when he goes to 2015.

First things first: Get yourself a pair of jeans, preferably light wash with no distressing or holes. You can get any size, but if you want your cosplay to be accurate make sure they’re a little big on you (so you can roll up the legs). I got mine from Walmart for $10. Wash them before you start working on them, and dry them completely before moving on to the next step.

I’m going to be doing my Marty McFly cosplay from the Back to the Future franchise. I’ll be showing you how I made my Marty McFly jeans and where I got all my supplies.

I started off by making a pattern for the jeans. I made a paper pattern, trying it on and making sure that it was perfect. Then I traced that onto brown paper and used that as my pattern.

I took a pair of blue jeans, cut them off at the knees, and then used that as a guide to cut off the bottom of my brown jeans.

I sewed the bottom of the brown jeans back together, making sure to put right sides together and then flipped it inside out so that there is no seam on the outside.

Then I sewed down my paper pattern onto the brown jeans using white thread so that it wouldn’t show through on the final product.

All right, now we’re ready to start painting! First step is to paint everything black with fabric paint, including all your seams and everything else. This gives a good base coat for our next step which is going to be painting them white. So just make sure you got everything because when we go to do the white paint it’ll show through if you didn’t get

As promised, I’m here today to show you how to make Marty McFly jeans for cosplay!Marty’s jeans are pretty iconic and memorable. They’re also fairly difficult to find in stores. Most of the ones I’ve seen online are just regular blue jeans with decals on them. I wanted something more authentic looking, so I made my own!The first thing you’ll need is a pair of brown pants. You can use any color you want, but the screen used costume was brown. You can buy them from any store or thrift shop and it really doesn’t matter what brand or style they are, because we’re going to be cutting them up anyway. The second thing you need is your fabric paint. I used Martha Stewart’s Satin Multi-Surface Paint in Bronze Gold (I loved this paint! It worked great!). This type of paint works great as an acrylic paint alternative because it has a shiny finish and comes in a variety of colors, which is important because we’ll be making several different colors for the jeans. You’ll also need a small sponge brush and some newspaper (to protect your work surface). To get started, you’ll need to draw a pattern for your knee patches. I used the method discussed in this Instructable by

Hello guys! I’m back with another cosplay tutorial and this time it’s Marty McFly from Back to the Future! I’m super excited about this costume because Back to the Future is one of my all time favorite movies.

I’ve seen a lot of tutorials and guides for making Marty’s vests, but I’ve never really seen one for his jeans and I think those are an essential part of his look. So I thought I’d share that with you guys!

First off, you’ll need a pair of jeans and a denim vest.

For the jeans, you can use any pair of dark wash denim jeans that fit well and have no rips or tears in them. For my pair, I used a pair of boyfriend jeans that were too small for me. If your pants are too big, you can always take them in at the waist or even create suspenders to hold them up.

Next up is the denim vest!

The important things here are that it’s denim, it has pockets (preferably on the front), and it fits well. Marty’s vest is kind of a light blue denim, but remember, he lives in 1985 when there are no smartphones everywhere to record every outfit choice he makes. So if your vest is

The following tutorial is a detailed step by step guide to make a costume of Marty McFly, the main character of the Back to the Future franchise.

Nowadays, there are many online tutorials on how to make cosplays, costumes and props. But most of them are focused on a specific prop or costume, but not the whole outfit. This tutorial aims to provide a complete list of all the things you need to make a very realistic Marty McFly costume.

Back To The Future is probably one of my favorite movies of all times. This is mostly due to the fact that I was born in the year 1988 and I grew up watching this movie as well as its sequels countless times, so I can easily identify myself with Marty McFly.

I always wanted to do some cosplay based on this movie, and what better character than Marty himself? The only problem was that cosplay tutorials for Marty were not as popular as for other characters such as Marty’s girlfriend Jennifer Parker or Doc Emmett Brown.

So I had no choice but to build everything from scratch based on pictures from the movie and other props made by other fans on the Internet. This tutorial will cover everything: clothes, shoes, accessories and hairstyle.

For this cosplay I did not

Hey guys! Here’s a video on how to cosplay Marty McFly from Back to the Future. This is an easy costume that anyone can do, especially if you want to be Marty for Halloween or a con. I hope this video is helpful to you!

I made my own jeans and denim shirt out of thrifted clothing. I also found the joggers at goodwill for about $4. If you don’t have the money or time to make your own clothes, then you can buy the exact items online that I bought. Everything listed below is linked to the exact products I used in this video:

I’m going to be doing my Marty McFly costume from Back to the Future, so I thought I’d share some of the things I’ve learned along the way.

I started with a pair of $12 jeans from the thrift shop. You can spend more on them if you want to buy new, but keep in mind that you’re going to be destroying them anyway. For this part, you’ll need:

Scissors

Sewing scissors

Seam ripper

Schrader valve for bicycle tubes (optional)

Duct tape (optional)

Thrifted jeans + other supplies
