The Disney Princesses have been a part of our childhood since the debut of Snow White in 1937. From then on, they were an integral part of our lives and we couldn’t imagine our life without them.

But there are many things you don’t know about the princesses and their movies. We are here to tell you all about them!

Aladdin, “The Diamond in the Rough”, is one of the most popular Disney movies ever made. But what about Jasmine? Well, she was originally written as a spoiled little brat who was going to marry the prince just to get away from her father and his demands. But the writers decided that she should be a strong character who fights for her rights. They also had to change her costume because it looked too much like a stripper’s outfit.

The princesses are always dressed up in “princess” attire, but they aren’t always looking their best. I mean, who wants to go out in public with a messy bun and without makeup? These princesses do it all the time! So here is a list of seven times when the princesses were NOT looking their best.

7. Cinderella — Her rags were torn and dirty, she had no makeup on, and she had bedhead.

6. Aurora — I mean, just check out that image. She looks like she just rolled out of bed.

5. Snow White — She was dressed like a peasant and had no makeup on, but she still looked pretty good for having no makeup on!

4. Ariel — Right after Ursula turned her into a human, her hair was frizzy, she had no shoes or clothes on and no makeup (well, maybe some lipgloss).

3. Jasmine — When Jasmine ran away from home, she wore only a peasant’s outfit and no jewelry or makeup or shoes. But she still looked good! However, when Jafar transformed her into an old woman (with his staff), now THAT was not a good look!

2. Pocahontas —

Aladdin is a 1992 American animated musical fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation and released by Walt Disney Pictures. The film is the 31st Disney animated feature film, and was the fourth produced during the Disney film era known as the Disney Renaissance. It was produced and directed by Ron Clements and John Musker, and is based on the Arabic folktale of the same name from One Thousand and One Nights and the French interpretation by Antoine Galland.

The voice cast features Scott Weinger, Robin Williams, Linda Larkin, Jonathan Freeman, Frank Welker, Gilbert Gottfried, and Douglas Seale. The screenplay went through three drafts before then-Disney Studios president Jeffrey Katzenberg agreed to its production. The animators based their designs on the work of caricaturist Al Hirschfeld, and computers were used for both finishing the artwork and creating some animated elements.

The musical score was written by Alan Menken and features six songs with lyrics written by both Menken and Howard Ashman, who also worked on The Little Mermaid (1989) beforehand; Ashman died during production of Aladdin. Aladdin was released on November 25, 1992 to positive reviews, with praise going towards its soundtrack and Robin Williams’ performance as Genie in particular. The film

Did you know that Aladdin was originally going to be more of a dark and brooding character? During the early stages of production, Aladdin was going to be a lot like the thief version we meet in the first act. The writers were originally planning to make him more of a street rat in appearance and he was not going to change his appearance at all. He would have remained in his jean shorts and brown vest throughout the film. He was also going to have darker skin.

Another thing that changed in this period was that Jasmine was going to be more rebellious. She wanted to break free from her royal life and instead of being forced into an arranged marriage, she would have been the one who ran away from it. She was also inspired by the women’s liberation movement and would have been very outspoken about her opinions on this, especially for someone living in a fictional Middle Eastern country. She wouldn’t have been as much of a damsel-in-distress as she is in the final film either, but rather more intelligent and resourceful.

One part that remained pretty much the same throughout production was Jafar’s character. He started off as an evil sorcerer who only wanted power and money (sometimes not even for himself). He had a beautiful
