I’m going to be honest with you. I’m a nerd. I love the Pokemon franchise, and have ever since I was a kid. I’ve played almost every game since it came to the United States in the late 90s, and own a few of the manga as well (the Japanese comic books). When I heard about Pokemon Go (an augmented reality app for your phone that allows you to “catch” pokemon on your phone in real life) coming out, I was more than a little excited.

The app is still in the beta stage (meaning they are still working on making it better), but it has already become a smash hit around the world. People are walking around their towns trying to catch pokemon, looking for places where certain types of pokemon can be found, and even battling in gyms against other teams (Red, Blue or Yellow). When I got back from my summer vacation in Japan on July 11th, 2016, it was available for download in a few countries like Australia and New Zealand but not yet here in the US. So when it did come out here on July 7th of this year, I could not wait to start playing.

It has now been almost two full weeks of me playing

Pokemon Go is a game of chase and anticipation, but most importantly it is a game that you play in real life. If you’re curious what Pokemon Go is, it’s simple: It is an augmented reality mobile game that uses your phone’s GPS and clock to detect where and when you are in the game and make pokemon “appear” around you (on your phone screen) so you can go and catch them.

The game play is incredibly simple: You walk around with your phone in front of you until you encounter an awesome looking creature (aka a Pokemon) then swipe your finger on the screen to throw a Pokeball at the Pokemon. The more accurate you are with your aim and timing, the better chance you have of actually catching the Pokemon.

If you have played any of the Pokemon video games before, then this will seem very familiar to how those games work as well. In fact, this same concept was used for their first mobile app called “Pokemon Go Plus” which was just released earlier this year in February 2016.

So what makes this so different from all those other apps? Well first off, it has adorable creatures that pop up on your phone when they appear near by. But most importantly

How To Make A Deku Link Costume

I’m not a big fan of cosplay. But I really liked this costume idea and I thought it was straightforward enough to put together. So my goal here is to walk you through all the steps I took to make it so that you can do the same thing.

This is what I ended up with:

Somebody asked me if I had a tutorial on how to make Deku Link’s costume, so I decided to write one up. It’s pretty easy, especially if you already have most of the stuff. It took me a little over two hours and cost about $25. The hardest part was mask-making, but even that isn’t too bad. There are tons of different ways to do it; this is just one way that worked for me. Hopefully this’ll help some people out!

My first visit to the United States was in 2004. A friend of mine from England and I were backpacking around the country for a couple of weeks and we had landed in Chicago with a plan to go down to New Orleans, across to Austin, up to Dallas, then over to LA and San Francisco before heading back to the UK.

I was speaking at a conference in Austin and got chatting with a couple of guys who invited me out for dinner. One of them was Keith Rabois, an investor who worked at PayPal. He asked me where else I was planning on visiting while I was in the US.

When I told him my plan he said, “that’s a f**ed up route”.

I replied that it made sense as we were going from Chicago down to New Orleans, across to Austin, then up to Dallas before heading over to LA and back across the country.

His response? “You need to be like water brother”.
