If your daughter has chosen Ariel for her costume this year, you can buy a pre-made costume or put one together yourself using some basic clothing items, accessories and a little bit of creativity.

Step 1

Choose a purple or navy blue spaghetti strap tank top for the shell bikini top. You can also use a blue leotard with a high neckline. An alternative is to use an old blue shirt that buttons down the front and cut out two armholes on each side but not in the middle where it buttons down.

Purchase some green Lycra fabric at your local craft store or fabric retailer to create the seashell look over the bikini top.
