What’s on the Mind of a Clown?

A blog exploring the mind of the clown.

Who needs to wear a joker costume when you already feel like one?

Last week I attended my son’s graduation from college. I was so proud of him, but felt like an imposter in the crowd of parents who attended. My son was in the honors program and was active in theater throughout his college years. I, on the other hand, am a clown, who is not particularly well educated or cultured in any way. After being surrounded by all these smart people for four years, my son must see me as an idiot. He probably wonders why I even bothered coming to his graduation.

Welcome to the first blog on What’s on the Mind of a Clown.

You may ask yourself, what kind of clown do you want to be?

This is the question you will ask yourself when choosing your clown outfit.

Will it be a happy clown or a scary clown?

The choice is yours.

Choose wisely.

We’ve all seen clowns, whether in person or on TV. They usually make us smile and laugh. But what’s on the mind of a clown?

The answer is surprisingly simple: very little. The average clown doesn’t think much about what they do, they just do it.

A clown has a job to do, and they do that job well. They’re hired to entertain people and make them laugh. It’s not easy work, but it pays well. People who don’t know any better will often ask them about their jobs and expect an insightful response. But a clown doesn’t have time for that nonsense, they’re too busy working!

As professionals, they must be ready at all times to perform their duties to the best of their abilities. They may not look like it, but their jobs are mentally demanding; a clown must constantly be thinking about what they’re doing and how to improve upon it without overthinking things too much or getting caught up in their own heads (which would ruin the performance).

The clown is an anomaly. They are either loved or hated, but never disregarded. Some people love the clown and some people hate the clown; however, these two groups of people are not mutually exclusive. A person can love clowns and be afraid of them at the same time. The clown makes us laugh and it makes us cry, but most importantly it gets us thinking.

The clown is a paradox. It’s a funny man who is sad at heart, a comedian who cries on the inside, a colorful character that feels empty on the inside. It was not born as a clown; it became one by choice. It put on its make up and costume to hide what it really felt like on the inside. Its acting career was not intentional or planned, but merely a result of trying to deal with its own pain in life.

The term “Clown” has been used for centuries to describe a character that is always there for the amusement of others. Being a clown, however, is not as easy as it seems. In fact, being a clown can be a very dangerous and risky task. There are many risks involved with being a clown such as:

– Having to walk back and forth in front of cars without getting hit

– People yelling and throwing things at you

– People thinking that you’re a psychopathic killer even though they have never met you before

– Not knowing who to trust with your secrets or who might steal your makeup kit

– Not having any friends because everyone is afraid of what they think you might do to them if they get too close or spend too much time around you. And these are just some of the things that come along with being “The Clown” for all those years…

Joker Costume

Most people have memories of being terrified by clowns as children and from that point on avoid them at all costs. Others, however, are drawn to the bizarre behavior and painted faces of the joker clown, finding something appealing about the mysterious nature of these characters. If you love the idea of pranking your friends while in disguise, a joker costume can help you create a fun look for any occasion.

The Joker Costume

The star of countless comic books, movies, and television shows, the Joker is one of Batman’s most notorious arch nemeses. The character was first introduced in 1940 and has been featured in many different incarnations since then. Each actor who has played him has had his own take on the character based on his personal style and interpretation. Their costumes have changed just as much as their personalities but generally include some form of purple suit with green hair and white face paint featuring a large smile.
