Woodstock Costume + White Elephant Gift Ideas

I was inspired to write this blog post after reading a really funny article about white elephant gift ideas on Buzzfeed. You can read the article here, but I’ll summarize the best ones for you:

1. Chip clips

2. A jar of mayonnaise

3. An assortment of frozen meats

4. A cat butt magnet

5. A toast rack

6. A bag of oranges (this was my personal favorite)

7. A tube of candy necklaces

8. A set of three random books (you can get these at dollar stores)

9. A bottle of hot sauce that has a picture of Trump’s face on it (this is also my personal favorite)

10. An inflatable palm tree drink holder (this is also also my personal favorite)

But then there’s one entry that makes me particularly proud, because it’s an item that I designed: a woody costume! The woody costume is perfect for white elephant exchanges because it’s such a silly thing that someone could end up with, but unlike the jar of mayonnaise or the bag of oranges, they might actually use it again in the future! It’s also hilarious and fun to watch someone open

The idea behind the Woody Costume is that it would be perfect for a White Elephant Gift Party. This is the sort of gift that people fight over. Therefore, it’s ideal for a White Elephant Gift Party.**

A White Elephant is basically an exchange of useless items, which nobody really wants. They are mostly given as gag gifts or as a way to recycle old unwanted objects.**

A White Elephant Gift Party can take many forms, but usually involves people bringing a wrapped gift. Then one person wraps up their gift and puts it in the middle of the room. Each person takes turns selecting a gift from the pile. If someone selects your gift, they can either steal it from you or pick another gift from the pile. The game keeps going until everyone has chosen a gift.

This may sound like a fairly dull event, but if everyone buys or makes something good enough to steal, then things start getting competitive and fun!

Finding the perfect white elephant gift is easy with a little help from Woody Costume. Their fun and creative ideas can help make your next white elephant party the best ever.

Many companies hold holiday parties for employees and their families, but these events can be difficult to plan. It’s hard to come up with ideas that appeal to such a wide variety of people. One idea that’s becoming increasingly popular is the White Elephant Gift Exchange.

This type of party typically involves employees bringing an inexpensive, funny gift to share at the event. The gifts are then “stolen” from other participants, who have their own gift stolen in turn. The process continues until all participants have had one or more gifts stolen from them. This approach allows everyone to try to get their favorite gift while also trying to avoid getting the worst one in the group.

Choosing a good white elephant gift is tricky, though, because it has to be somewhat generic, yet unique enough so that people want it over other options at the party. Luckily, Woody Costume offers a solution with their Woody Costume product. This creative costume is perfect for any white elephant exchange because almost anyone would want it for themselves or as a gag for someone else at the party.

If you’re looking for a costume idea, here’s a great and easy one: Grab a white t-shirt or tank top and a pair of shorts. Then use fabric paint or markers to make these big letters on the front: W O O D Y.

Once you have your costume ready, go out and have fun! If you’re not sure where to go and need some ideas, here are some places we’ve been seen in our Woody costumes:

Beach (especially spring break)

Around town (people will get a kick out of it)

A music festival (Woodstock!)

White Elephant parties (great gift idea!)

We went to a White Elephant gift party this weekend and had a blast. It was fun to watch people’s reactions as they unwrapped their gifts. Most were pretty excited about the new stuff, but there were a few who were disappointed in what they received. It was fun watching the exchange of gifts and how some people were able to get just what they wanted. We had two gifts that we brought to the party. One was a gift for the hostess and the other was a gift for anyone who came to the party.

The first gift was our Woody Costume. We knew that one of our friends had been trying to find this costume online, but couldn’t find it anywhere. So we decided to bring it as our hostess gift. We dressed up as Woody and Jessie from Toy Story 3, complete with cowboy hats and bandanas. This costume got lots of laughs and we even won best costume!

The second present we brought was a White Elephant gift for anyone who came to the party. We brought an old watercolor painting that my father painted years ago. It wasn’t very good, but it did have sentimental value as it reminded me of my father who has since passed away. I also thought that it would be something that someone could re-g
