Who Wore It Best? A Blog Comparing the Mrs. Clause Costumes of Celebrities
The holidays are a time to celebrate with family, friends and loved ones. Many people have their own traditions, from special meals to family games. One tradition enjoyed by many people is dressing up as Santa Claus or Mrs. Clause for the holiday season. Whether hosting a party or taking pictures in the mall, wearing a Mrs. Clause costume can be an exciting way to show your holiday spirit and cheer.
How do you choose a Mrs. Clause costume? There are many options on the market, so it can be hard to find what you are looking for. To help you sort through the options, we’ve created this blog comparing different celebrity Mrs. Claus costumes. We hope that you will find this useful in choosing your own perfect outfit!
This blog will compare the Mrs. Clause costumes of celebrities. Celebrities choose their costumes each year to their own tastes. This is evident in the different styles, patterns, and colors that a celebrity chooses for their Mrs. Clause costume.
It seems that celebrities are choosing a new trend this year: simplicity. This year, less is more!
Taylor Swift has been known to be one of the more edgy pop stars in the industry today. However, when it comes to her Mrs. Claus costume she went with a classic red velvet dress with a simple white trim at the neckline and sleeves. It looks as if she wanted to stick with the classics this year!
Beyonce always goes above and beyond when it comes to fashion. She is not afraid to wear something completely out there and shocking on a red carpet at the Grammy’s if she feels like it! I expected her Mrs. Claus costume to be bright pink or blue but instead she chose an all black ensemble with gold accents on her belt, shoes, and hat! The only thing festive about her outfit was the red Santa hat which she donned for her performance at the Las Vegas MGM Grand Arena last week.
Katy Perry also chose a simple yet elegant look for her Mrs. Clause costume this year
As Christmas approaches, people are wondering what Mrs. Clause is going to wear this year at all of the holiday parties. With so many celebrities wearing Mrs. Clause costumes, I figured it would be interesting to compare and contrast some of the looks.
First up is Mariah Carrey in a cream colored Mrs. Clause dress with a fur hood and trim. She paired it with a pair of nude pumps and a matching white fur bag. While this look is very festive, I feel like it’s missing something. I wish she would’ve had on her signature red lipstick because that would have made the whole look pop! She gets a 7/10 from me on this outfit.
Next up we have former First Lady Michelle Obama wearing a more casual red and white striped Mrs. Clause costume. This outfit is a bit more laid back than Mariah’s, but just as festive! The black boots give off an edgy vibe that makes this Mrs. Clause dress less traditional than Mariah’s dress, but I still like both looks for different reasons! You can never go wrong with a long red skirt! I give Michelle an 8/10 on this look because she chose not to accessorize very much and seemed kind of cold in the photo!
Finally, we have
Tamara Beckwith, who is a British socialite, was spotted wearing this super cute Mrs. Clause costume on December 6, 2013 in London. The dress has a very traditional feel and look with the red velvet and white fur trim. The skirt of the dress seems to be a full circle skirt or modified circle skirt which gives it the perfect twirl factor. The neckline of the dress is trimmed in white faux fur which adds to the adorable factor. The sleeves are bell sleeves with fur trim at the wrist. The heart shaped buttons are made of faux jewels that really sparkle against the red velvet; they also have little tassels hanging from them to add more dimension and texture to the dress. This adorable little costume would be perfect for any holiday party or family get together.
The price tag for this fun little dress is $66 so it’s pretty affordable too! Check out what other people are saying about this adorable little Mrs. Clause costume and then buy your own today!
Al Roker and his wife, Deborah Roberts, hosted the Today show Christmas party Wednesday night. The couple have been married for 20 years, and both dressed in festive Christmas garb, with Al Roker as Santa and Deborah Roberts taking on the role of Mrs. Claus.
Al Roker’s daughters Leila and Courtney Roker also got in on the dress-up fun! Leila dressed as a reindeer, while Courtney was an angel. Both girls looked adorable!
