In my job, I prepare astronauts for missions in space and on the moon. It is really amazing work. But I think you would agree that it is really hard to travel so far away from Earth for so long. Astronauts need to be trained not only for their mission in space but also for how their bodies will react when they return home.

Today is the day of my first space flight. I have never been more excited in my entire life! I am wearing my official astronaut uniform, which is basically a large, orange jumpsuit with an American flag on it. I’ve also got a helmet and some other astronaut gear that will help me on this mission to outer space.
I have always wanted to be an astronaut, and today I will finally get to see what it’s like! It’s about time too; I’ve been waiting for this for so long now that it feels like forever since I first started thinking about being an astronaut back when I was a kid. I can’t believe how lucky I am to be given this opportunity at such an early age! It’s going to be amazing!
