Want to make a poison ivy costume this Halloween? Here is how. I’ll show you how I made my homemade poison ivy costume.
What You Need
Green Body Paint
The first thing you will need is green body paint. I used a product called Snazaroo in light green and yellow, but you can use any type of body paint that you want. Since my costume was more on the sexy side, I decided to go with body paint rather than fabric, but either will work for your homemade poison ivy costume.
Green Body Suit
If you decide to go with fabric instead of body paint, then you will need a green bodysuit. This isn’t as common as other colors, so it might be tough to find one in stores, but here are some options:

Leafy Accessory
Once you have the base covered, it’s time to add the leaves. I made mine out of felt and glued them to my face and chest using eyelash glue (you could also use spirit gum). For an easy option, however, you can get a leaf boa or headband for cheap at places like Party City.
Poison Ivy Wig
This is optional, but it really
Hello dear readers! Today I’m going to talk about how to make a Poison Ivy costume for this Halloween. A lot of people have been wondering what kind of costume to wear for the upcoming holiday, and after seeing the new Batman movie, The Dark Knight, many people are inspired to dress up as their favorite characters from the film.
I’m here today with a tutorial on how to make a Poison Ivy costume. Poison Ivy is an interesting character in the Dark Knight movie. She is played by the charming and talented actress Uma Thurman.
I think it would be fun to dress up as her this Halloween, because she isn’t overly sexy or exposing like a lot of other costumes might be. Instead, she is mysterious and green — which makes her an ideal Halloween costume.
Step 1: Wrap Yourself In Ivy Leaves
Step 2: Wrap the Ivy Leaves in Green Tulle
Step 3: Make Leaf Accessories
Step 4: Dress Up in a Green Outfit
Step 5: Apply the Finishing Touches
If you are looking for a low-cost and easy way to dress up as Poison Ivy this Halloween, then you have come to the right place. Here is how to make your own Poison Ivy costume for under $20.00.
It’s not an easy task to find the perfect costume for Halloween, especially if you’re trying to find something that is cute but scary, original and creative. With all of these factors to consider, it can often seem easier to just give up on the idea of making your own costume, but this has never been an option for me. I am a firm believer in the idea that it is always better to make your own costumes than buy them from a store, and this year I decided that I wanted to try my hand at making a Poison Ivy costume.
Now, if you are unfamiliar with Poison Ivy, she is one of Batman’s most notorious enemies. She has green skin, red hair, and a signature outfit made entirely out of leaves. If you haven’t seen this look before, I highly recommend finding some pictures online. It’s a very unique costume.
The first thing I needed was a pair of green tights. Luckily these were very easy to find at my local craft store and they were not too expensive either (only $10). Next up was getting some leaves for the costume; here again craft stores were helpful with their selection of fake plants which could easily be cut apart into individual leaves without losing any detail on them!
Once all supplies were
Good news! Poison Ivy costumes are really easy to make yourself. Bad news! You won’t be able to make it without the help of an adult.
Before you get started, you’ll need some supplies:

– An adult to help you**”
Poison Ivy is a seductive villainess from the Batman comic books. She utilizes plants to achieve her goals and is a powerful eco-terrorist. Poison Ivy costumes are not just for Halloween, they are also great for costume parties, comic book conventions, and cosplay. In this tutorial, you will learn how to make your own Poison Ivy costume using supplies you can find at craft or fabric stores.
What you will need:
1) A base green leotard
2) Dark green and red spandex panels for the legs and arms
3) White vinyl fabric for the chest piece
4) Black shoelaces (2)
5) Faux ivy leaves from the craft store
6) Green spray paint in a gloss finish (optional)
7) Leaf-shaped sequins or glitter (optional)
8) Red gloves (optional)
Poison Ivy is a popular Batman villain. I have seen many women dress up as this character, but I have never seen an authentic costume. Most of the ones I have seen are just red hair, green clothes and leaves stuck in their hair. This is not a proper Poison Ivy costume.
The first thing you will need to do is get your hair colored red. If you already have red hair, that’s great! If not, buy some L’Oreal Feria’s Colorglamour Red Velvet and dye your hair. If you’re not sure if you want to dye your hair, there are temporary rinses at most beauty supply stores that are really good.
Next, you will need a unitard (a one-piece suit). The easiest way to find one is to go to a dance supply store or look online at Dancewear Solutions or Discount Dance Supply. You can also find them at Halloween stores or online Halloween retail sites like SpiritHalloween and BuyCostumes. Try to find one in any color but green; they tend to be easier to find and less expensive. I found mine at Walmart for $14.00!
After you have your unitard picked out, it’s time for the fun part; decorating it!
