Halloween is upon us and many of you will be dressing up in costume. Whether you’re a child or an adult, it’s important to remember that while costumes are fun, they can also be dangerous if not worn properly.

6 Steps To Stay Safe This Halloween: A blog about avoiding injury while wearing a ghostbusters costume.

1. Be careful when crossing the street. Wear bright colors so cars can see you, and look both ways before crossing the street.

2. Make sure your costume doesn’t include sharp objects or points that may injure you or another person.

3. If you’re wearing a mask, make sure it does not obstruct your vision and that it fits snugly on your head so it does not slip off during use.

4. Avoid long capes and trains as they can cause tripping accidents on stairs and other objects in the home.5. Use flashlights instead of candles or torches inside pumpkins or other decorative items to prevent fires or injuries to other people if items are knocked over in the home or on the street.

6. Have an adult check your candy before eating any pieces from trick-or-treating to ensure safe consumption

Halloween is arguably the best holiday of the year, so there is no reason not to go all out. If you want to rock a ghostbusters costume this year, you don’t have to worry about being safe. These six steps will help you avoid injury while still looking amazing.

1. Wear the right shoes: You will be walking around in your costume all night, so make sure that your shoes are comfortable and have good traction. You don’t want to trip in front of that hot guy/girl whose number you’re trying to get.

2. Make sure it fits: The last thing you want is for your costume to be too small, too big, or too tight. Have someone help you try it on early so that you can get it altered before Halloween.

3. Stay hydrated: Drinking water throughout the day will keep your skin healthy and glowing under all those layers of makeup. You’ll also need some extra water inside if you’re partying hard or dancing all night long!

4. Be careful with fake blood: Fake blood can stain your clothes, so use an old towel as a backdrop when applying it to your face or neck areas. If any gets on your clothes, use rubbing alcohol and a toothbrush to scrub it out as

Halloween is just around the corner, and with it comes the chance to dress up in a fun costume. If your costume of choice happens to be a Ghostbuster, you are in for extra fun, but please be sure to follow these six steps to ensure that you stay safe this Halloween:

Whether you are going to a Halloween party or just want to shock people on the street, a ghostbusters costume is a great choice. But how do you get that authentic look without risking injury? I’ll show you in 6 easy steps.

1. The shoes

For footwear, you can’t go past the classic ghostbusters boots. These are easy to find: just go to your local department store and ask for 8″ black leather boots with ankle straps. Make sure the toe and heel are steel-reinforced so that when you walk, it sounds like thunder.

2. The pants

For your pants, try grey or blue denim jeans or chinos. The key here is cleanliness: they should be ironed and free of any creases or wrinkles. You don’t want to look sloppy!

3. The top

An authentic ghostbusters costume must feature the famous logo on the front and back of the top. There are 3 options here:

• a white t-shirt with the logo printed on it

• a white polo shirt with the logo embroidered on it

• a white buttoned-up shirt with a black tie and the logo embroidered

This article is a guide to safely wearing a Ghostbuster costume to help prevent injury.

1. Wear a mask rather than using makeup to replicate the mask.

2. Wear high visibility clothing, preferably in a color that contrasts with the street you will be walking on (i.e., don’t wear an all black costume on a dark road).

3. Always have a group of friends with you, and stay together as you go door to door trick or treating.

4. Look both ways before you cross the street, and obey all traffic laws. The orange Ghostbuster crosswalk that was painted in New York this summer is only for cars, not for people in costumes!

5. If there are any problems with your costume throughout the night, fix it right away so there is no chance of it getting any worse later on in the evening.

6. Make sure that your costume is 100% flame retardant! We know there’s only one way to stop a ghost, but fire safety should always be your first priority when making your costume!

We’re excited at the idea of you becoming a Ghostbuster this Halloween, but we want you to stay safe. Here are some tips to keep in mind when wearing your costume:

1) Be sure to leave a 3 foot area around you clear of any obstructions. This will allow those around you to have plenty of room for movement.

2) If you are carrying a proton pack, be careful not to knock over any children who may have been frightened by your costume.

3) If you are walking through a doorway, be sure to check for incoming traffic first. The proton pack might knock into someone on the other side!

4) Be respectful of those who do not enjoy being scared as much as you do. Do not jump out and surprise anyone who is alone or has headphones in their ears. You wouldn’t want your costume to give someone a heart attack!

5) We know it’s tempting, but no matter how good you think your Slimer impression is, please refrain from spitting green goo on unsuspecting people. That will just make them mad at you!

6) Finally, remember that there might be some ghosts flying around this Halloween! Just because they look real doesn’t mean they’re not fake, so don’t go
