As the weather is getting warmer and warmer, you are probably ready to spend more time outside, but a rash or irritation can put a damper on your fun.

You may wonder what causes rashes and skin irritation in the first place. In many cases, it’s either due to hot temperatures, or a reaction to something you have come into contact with.

There are several different types of rashes and irritation, each of which comes with their own set of causes and solutions. Here are some tips that can help you identify and treat common skin issues.

Rash 1: Heat Rash

What is it: Heat rash is triggered when the sweat glands in skin become blocked by dead skin cells or bacteria. This prevents the sweat from escaping through the pores, causing a blockage that leads to red bumps on the surface of the skin. These bumps can cause stinging or burning sensations, and are typically found in areas that do not get much ventilation.

Cause: Heat rash is most likely to develop during warm weather when your body sweats more than usual. The condition is most common on areas like the neck, chest and back, where clothing traps body heat against the skin. Some people also experience heat rash on their inner thighs or stomach area as

Foam

When it comes to the foam used in mattresses and pillows, this is the main culprit of itchiness or skin irritation. If you are experiencing these symptoms, it is most likely that the foam you are using contains latex. The good news is there are many foam alternatives that are completely latex-free and do not cause any irritation at all.

Vinegar

Many people may not know this but vinegar can be very beneficial for your skin. This is a great way to cleanse your skin and make sure it stays healthy. Simply mix vinegar with warm water and use a washcloth to clean your face. This will help you keep your skin free of bacteria and other germs that can cause irritation.

Dry Skin

This is one of the most common causes of dry skin on the body. It can be caused by stress, lack of sleep, poor diet or allergies. If you have dry skin on your body and want to treat it naturally, try using an oatmeal lotion on a daily basis. It will help to soothe and moisturize your skin while also killing off any bacteria that could cause further itching or irritation.

If you are someone who frequently suffers from rashes, the cause could be something related to your lifestyle or diet. You may want to change these habits in order to avoid rashes.

Here are some common causes of rashes and how you can solve them:

Contact dermatitis: This is a kind of skin irritation that occurs when the skin comes into contact with some substance that it is allergic to. The allergen may include plants like poison ivy, ingredients in cosmetics and soaps. Also, fragrances in perfumes and dyes used in clothing may also cause rashes on your skin. Non-allergic contact dermatitis is the kind of reaction that happens when your skin comes into contact with solvents, acids, alkalis or even water. This type of rash tends to affect people who have sensitive skin and eczema (atopic dermatitis).

The symptoms include

This is a common skin issue as most people have experienced, either themselves or through knowing someone else. The cause of this problem is an allergy to something, called contact dermatitis. It can be caused by many things; the most common are nickel and poison ivy, oak or sumac.

To test for nickel allergy, use hypoallergenic earrings for one month, then try wearing normal earrings again. If you develop a reaction to the regular earrings but not the hypoallergenic ones, then you are allergic to nickel.

I love the movie Moana, and my daughter is in love with it too. We have been playing the movie since Thanksgiving. We are a Disney family, so it was no surprise that we would be seeing this movie at the theater. The first time we saw it was at a special screening that Disney put on. We had a blast!

Now, we have seen it probably six times and my girl has decided that she is going to be Moana for Halloween. I was all for it and decided I would make her costume myself. I am pretty skilled with a sewing machine and have made a ton of costumes in the past (which you can see here). I knew that I could make her the perfect Moana costume!

First, let me tell you how much fun this whole process was. My daughter is a creative soul and she loved every part of this process. She helped me pick out the fabric, she sewed her own skirt (on a small children’s sewing machine), she helped me make the flowers, and she even did some of the painting on the
