Today I will share with you some of my bridal makeup tips that I have learned over the years. I’m a self-taught makeup addict who loves to play in makeup and enjoys sharing my passion with others. Some of these tips may help you before your wedding day, but all of them are good to know for any special occasion where you want to look your best.

Think of Your Makeup as an Investment – You should not skimp on your makeup products when it comes to your wedding day. For me, it’s always worth spending a little extra money on the day that I am going to be photographed the most. Congratulations, you are engaged! And now you have the daunting task of planning the wedding. There is so much to think about: the invitations, the venue, the dress, and the makeup!

For most women, makeup is a part of daily routine. However, for your wedding, it’s important to take things up a notch. If you’re not used to wearing a lot of makeup or if you don’t feel comfortable applying it yourself, there are plenty of professionals who can help you achieve that perfect look. Define your brows with a pencil slightly darker than your natural color, and fill in with a matching eyeshadow. Using a smudging brush, apply a shimmery copper shade over the entire eyelid. Next, apply a darker brown or taupe shade to the crease of the eye and blend well. Apply a light creamy shadow or highlighter to the brow bone, and line both top and bottom lid with black liquid liner for extra definition. Finish with two coats of volumizing mascara on the top lashes only. Add false lashes if desired.

Apply foundation over entire face and blend into neck to ensure an even tone. Use concealer as needed around nose, under eyes, and on any blemishes. Set with loose translucent powder applied with a large powder brush all over face.

Using a blush/bronzer duo brush apply bronzer to cheekbones and temples to give you an instant glow. Swirl blush on apples of cheeks blending up toward hairline using same brush used for bronzer.
