What does it take to make a furry costume?
There are many approaches for achieving this, but here is what we do.
Our first step is to model the costume in 3D software. This allows us to ensure that the fit is perfect and the proportions are correct. We then laser-cut a pattern and use it to cut the fabric pieces with an industrial cutting table. The pieces are assembled by hand and decorated with applique, embroidery, or screen printing.
This process is much more expensive than traditional methods of costume making, but we think you’ll find that it’s worth it!
