The premise is that once a year, all crime becomes legal in America for one night. The result is that most ordinary citizens stay indoors and lock their doors while gangs run riot with baseball bats and guns.
Purge Night is not your average horror film. It’s more of a social satire, albeit one that doesn’t pull any punches when it comes to violence. While on the surface this may seem like a ridiculous idea for a movie, think about it for a moment and you’ll see why it’s actually quite clever.
Imagine going out on Halloween dressed as Purge Night participants – complete with baseball bats, hockey masks and guns (just make sure they are plastic). The look is not exactly cute or sexy – which means most people won’t recognise you until after you’ve scared them. Or perhaps they’ll think you’re just crazy. Either way, they will be shocked and confused by your appearance and behaviour. Purge Night fans will love it!

In my closet, there are many a costume, including French Maid, Cat, and Sailor Moon. However, I am a simple woman and have found that one costume is all you need to be prepared for any occasion: The Purge Costume.

So to be prepared for this event, you just need to dress up like a normal person and have a mask on hand. This way, if the Purge ever happens, you can put on your mask and no one will know who you are!
