There are lots of places you can get a Harry Potter costume these days. But if you want something truly unique, I think making your own is the way to go. In this blog post I will show you how to make your own costumes and props.

I made my own costumes last year, and so did my friend, who lives in New York City. Both of us have been posting pictures on our blogs, so that you can follow along with our progress and learn how to do it yourself!

We’ve both been working very hard on these costumes – we’ve put hundreds of hours into them! We hope that you will enjoy them as much as we do!

Halloween is a time of year that everyone gets to make their wildest dreams come true. What better way to do that than to dress up as your favorite Harry Potter character? We all have our favorite characters, whether they are part of the main cast or a minor character in the story.

Here we’ll show you how to create your own costume for Halloween. We’ll start with the three main characters, Harry, Ron and Hermione, and then move on to some of the more popular supporting characters.

You can wear your regular clothes as long as they are typical Hogwarts attire. For a robe you can use a black graduation gown or even a black bathrobe over an old shirt. You can use a wand from a costume shop or make one out of cardboard or wood. Your glasses should be round and at least 2 inches in diameter with no lenses in them.

Hello, my name is Leigh Ann. I am a mom of 2 boys and one girl, who are now all in college. My daughter is going to be Hermione Granger for Halloween this year, so I decided to make her a costume. I did a lot of research on the internet and found some great ideas that worked well and took pictures along the way.

I will show you all of the materials you will need and each step until you have your own costume completed!

I hope this is helpful to you!

It’s that time of year again, and with the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 in July, I was inspired to put together this tutorial on how to make your own Harry Potter costume. The amazing thing about these costumes is that they are incredibly simple to make, yet look incredibly authentic.

These costumes use only materials you can find at your local fabric or craft store and everything can be done by hand, so no sewing machine is required. The entire project took me about a day from start to finish. This project is rated easy and even includes easy-to-follow detailed photos for those who are more visual learners.

I made mine from scratch, but you can also purchase the robes from an online costume site to save time. Here’s what you’ll need:

First up is the robe:

You will need a yard of each fabric for each robe. You will also need velcro for one robe (about 10 inches) and a strip of elastic (about 6 inches) for the other robe.

First fold your fabric in half lengthwise until it measures 24 inches wide by 36 inches long:

Cut out your neckline as shown below:

What is Harry Potter without his magic wand? This article will teach you how to make your very own.

If you have no idea what the Elder Wand looks like, check out the Wikipedia page on it.

If you want to make a simple wooden wand, go here.

The Elder Wand is one of the most powerful wands in the Harry Potter series, and is often associated with the Dark Lord Voldemort. The Elder Wand is owned by Tom Riddle (aka Lord Voldemort) who kills its previous owner, Albus Dumbledore. The wand is shaped like a sword and has a magical power that can defeat any other wand. In order for it to work properly, it must be held in both hands with both thumbs pointing towards the end of the wand. You will need:

A stick or branch about four feet long

Some tape

A piece of cardboard (or something similar) about one foot wide and eight inches long (we used a piece from an old cardboard box)
