Hi there! Welcome to my website! Here you can learn how to make your own Sailor Moon Costume! I made this website because I wanted to help other cosplayers be able to create their own costumes! It took me a long time to find the right materials and designs for making my costume, so hopefully this will help people who want to make their own. Have fun making your costume!

Making a costume that is similar to the anime Sailor Moon is not as difficult as you might think. You will need a few basic items to make your costume look professional and true to the show.

Hello everyone! My name is Tasha, and I am a huge Sailor Moon fan! I started watching the show when it was still in its original Japanese version, and have been hooked ever since. A few years ago, I decided to make a costume from the show because I wanted to dress up as my favorite character for Halloween. The only problem was that there were no Sailor Moon costumes available at costume shops or online stores. So what did I do? Well, I made a costume myself using some of the resources listed below.

If you are a Sailor Moon fan like me and want to make your own costume for Halloween or for cosplay events or conventions, then this post will tell you how. Unlike most anime characters whose costumes require expensive materials such as wigs and body paint, Sailor Moon’s outfit can be made completely out of items found at craft stores and fabric shops (and even dollar stores). This makes it an easy cosplay choice for novice costumers who do not want to spend a lot of money on their first costume.

So here is how you can make your own Sailor Moon costume:

Sailor Moon has been one of the most popular anime series for over a decade. The main character, Sailor Moon (Usagi) is known for her cute hairstyle and adorable fuku (uniform). It is not uncommon to see women in Sailor Moon costumes at anime conventions, but most of them are “official” costumes that can be bought online. This tutorial will teach you how to make your own Sailor Moon costume on a limited budget by buying similar clothes online and altering them as needed.

The main components of the costume are:

1. A pleated miniskirt in either blue or white.

2. A white button-up shirt with puffy sleeves, preferably with sailor collar.

3. A red bow tie.

4. White gloves, preferably with red trim.

We all love our childhood anime and in this case I would like to show you how to make your own Sailor Moon costume.

With so many costumes out there on the market, it is sometimes difficult to find the one you want. Usually when I am looking for a costume, there are only a few out of all of the costumes that I like. So instead of buying an expensive costume online or at the store, why not make your own?

You can get most of your materials online and the rest at any local hobby or craft store. You can also find wig shops online and in some places around town. I have found that using eBay is really useful because you can often find things cheaper than on other sites or in stores.

In this instructable, I will go into detail about what materials I used and what kind of process I went through to make my costume.

Step 1: The Sailor Mars dress

Supplies:

Pleated skirt

Red elastic (1/4 inch)

White shirt

Red fabric (1/2 yard)

A few bobby pins

This is the easiest step, in my opinion. For the skirt, I got a pleated faux-wrap skirt that was already white with red trim. If you can’t find something like this, buy a white pleated skirt, and take it to a tailor or seamstress to get a piece of red fabric sewn on the hem. All that matters is that it’s about knee-length. For the shirt, I bought a simple white tank top from Target. The elastic goes around your waist and connects the two pieces of your costume together. It also has a bow on it! You can buy thick red ribbon for this, but I just used 1/4 inch elastic that I had lying around.

It is important to know the measurements of your body in order to purchase the correct size. This section will give you instructions on how to measure your body.

The links provided are based on U.S. sizes (Women’s and Children’s). Thus, when looking at the measurements, you must convert them into centimeters or meters using the U.S. conversion chart.

For Women/Girls:

Step 1: Measure your waist. To measure your waist, place a measuring tape around the narrowest part of your natural waistline. Make sure that you keep the tape parallel to the floor while standing straight up and breathing normally. Note that if you are choosing a skirt that sits higher than your natural waistline (like Sailor Moon), then you will need to measure at that point instead of your natural waistline.

Step 2: Measure your bust (and bra size). To measure your bust, stand straight and breath normally with an unpadded bra on (unless instructed otherwise). Place one end of the measuring tape at the fullest part of your bust line and wrap it around until it meets itself. Write down this measurement and make sure it matches with your bra size (if not, go up or down a cup size).
