How to Pick the Right Costume When You’re a Tall Person

Being a tall person can be hard. When you are tall, going shopping for clothes, finding a good costume, or even just getting comfortable at the movies can be a challenge. So how do you pick the right costume as a tall person? Here’s how:

1. Consider wearing a baggy costume.

2. Don’t get costumes that are too short.

3. Think about your height when picking out costumes from decades past, like a pirate or flapper girl costume.

4. Avoid costumes that will make you look shorter and heavier than you are.

Picking the right Halloween costume is a challenging task. Halloween costumes are often designed based on shorter people and do not always fit a person of above-average height. When you’re a tall person, you want to make sure that your Halloween costume fits you properly. In this blog, I’ll go over some ways to pick the right costume as a tall person.

Dress Up As Someone Who’s Tall

This one might sound obvious, but it works. If you’re planning on dressing up as someone who’s tall in real life, you’ll have an easier time finding something that fits, because you can use your real height as a reference instead of having to buy large sizes.

For example, if you plan on dressing up as basketball player Lebron James for Halloween, you might be able to get away with buying a smaller size. You just have to find the right balance between looking like Lebron James and looking like yourself in a Lebron James costume.

Use Your Own Clothes As A Costume

Another way to make sure your Halloween costume fits is by using your own clothes as part of the costume. This is a great way to save money, too! You can use clothes from your closet or buy new clothes at thrift stores to

As a tall person, I am constantly looking for ways to make myself feel more comfortable in my own skin. One of the trickiest things about being tall is that it can be difficult to buy clothes and costumes if you are outside the range of what designers market to. Halloween is no exception.

I’m 6’4″, so for me, buying a “one size fits all” costume is not a realistic option. That’s why I decided to write this ultimate guide on how tall people can pick the right costume every time.

Use your height to your advantage!

Tall people should use their height to their advantage when choosing a Halloween costume. If you’re tall, it can be really fun to play into that by picking a character who is supposed to be bigger than everyone else. This will make you stand out in the crowd and really make an impression! Here are some characters that would be great:

A tree: If you’re very tall, you could try dressing up as a tree or wearing clothing that looks like bark.

Vampire: Tall vampires are menacing and intimidating, just like real vampire hunters who are tall like Abraham Van Helsing or Buffy Summers.

Giant: A giant is another great option for tall people who want to play with

My name is Max and I’m a tall person. I’ve been tall since I was young and I’ve always had trouble picking out costumes for Halloween, even when I was young. So, here’s some helpful tips on how to pick the right costume if you’re a tall person:

One thing that you can do is to buy a longer shirt and then wear it with long pants/jeans. This will make your legs look shorter, which is good. You could also go with a short-sleeved shirt if you want (they look better on taller guys).

Another option would be to wear something like a cape or coat over your costume. This would make it less obvious that you’re wearing the costume and would help keep the attention off of your height for most people (especially women).

The most popular costumes for tall people are superheroes and other pop culture icons. These have the advantage that they come with clear instructions: if you’re wearing a Batman costume, you are Batman. You don’t need to worry about whether your hair is right. If you’re Peter Pan, you are Peter Pan, whether or not you have a British accent.

But in some ways this is too easy. A lot of tall people like to express their creativity through their costumes, and it can be hard to do so when you’re using someone else’s idea. So if you’re looking for a more original costume, here are some ideas.

1) Get some thick cardboard and make yourself a box, big enough to be able to walk around inside it comfortably. This is now a robot costume, but it’s also whatever else your imagination can make of it. You can paint designs on the outside of the box — for example, I once made one that had a keyboard painted on the front so I was a “computer.” Or if you want the robot look, cover it with foil and rivet shapes cut from silver cardboard onto it.

2) The other option is to make your own superhero costume. This doesn’t necessarily require any special abilities; just pick something that

On the one hand, you don’t want to wear something that’s going to make you look short! On the other hand, you also can’t just pick any costume that’s too big for you because it’s not a good fit.

So what do you do? Well, a few years ago I saw this article on the Tall Girls Blog which has some great tips for picking out costumes.

The blogger says: “If you are tall and have long legs like me, the key is to find clothing pieces that will work with your body type. If you’re in a bind and can’t find anything to fit properly, there are some tricks that will help keep your style game on point!”

She goes on to say that she had a friend who was 5’10” tall and had trouble finding clothes that fit her properly when she was looking for costumes at Halloween. She found a costume which was made for someone 5’4″ tall but it was too small so instead of getting another costume she got some high heels which were two sizes larger than her regular size and wore them with her costume.

She then went into how she decided on an outfit which would look good without making her feel like she was wearing something too small or too big. She said:

You’ve managed to get a great Halloween costume for yourself. Now, you are stuck with the problem of how to make it work for your tall self.

Here are some tips and tricks to help you navigate through Halloween:

1. Bring your costume to the store with you. If you plan on making major alterations, make sure that you have the tools and supplies necessary to do so before you make your purchase.

2. Don’t be afraid to ask for help! The employees at the store will be able to assist you in measuring out how long lengths of material need to be cut in order to fit properly, or if they can find another size that may fit better. It never hurts to ask!

3. Try buying oversized clothing if nothing else will work. You can always alter the clothing by taking it in around the waist and legs; this is an especially good tip if you are going as a ‘hobo’ or ‘bum.’
