There are plenty of ways to make this costume, but not all of them are cost efficient. In this blog, I will provide you with some tips and tricks on how you can make your own Mandalorian costume for cheap!
What Is A Mandalorian?
According to Wookieepedia, Mandalorians are “a multi-species warrior people from the planet Mandalore in the galaxy’s Outer Rim Territories”. They have been featured in many different Star Wars movies and TV shows such as “The Clone Wars” (2008), “Solo: A Star Wars Story” (2018) and now they’re back again in season 2 of The Mandalorian (2020).
As we all know, the mandalorian armor has been a huge hit since it was first introduced in the original Star Wars movie. The Mandalorian is one of the most iconic characters in Star Wars and there are many reasons why he’s become so popular.
In this article I’m going to show you some tips on how to make a frugal Mandalorian costume.
First off, let me tell you a bit about myself. My name is Rob Lucas and I’ve been a Mandalorian fan for over 30 years. I’ve made several costumes (some good, some bad) and I know what it takes to be a good Mandalorian costume maker.

I’ve personally spent around $1000 on my Mando cosplay, while I know others who have spent much more than that. The helmet is the most important piece of your costume. You could have all the best accessories in the world and still have a bad costume if you have a bad helmet. There are two main options for getting a Mandalorian helmet: 3D print it yourself or buy one from an artist on Etsy or other website.
Buying a Helmet
Buying a helmet is arguably better than printing it yourself, especially if you don’t have access to high-quality 3D printers. However, this can be very expensive when you purchase from artists online. Even lower prices helmets cost more than $100 and higher quality ones can cost over $1000! You can also buy t-shirts online that have the Mandalorian logo on them. Just make sure you get one that’s not too bright and doesn’t have any of the other Mandalorian markings on it.
If you’re feeling really adventurous and want to go all out, why not try making your own? There are many tutorials online and videos showing how you can create your own custom Mandalorian costume using items such as fabric glue, felt or even duct tape! If you’re going this route then it will take some time but should result in a very unique look that nobody else has seen before.
When it comes to shopping for a mandalorian costume, there are plenty of options available from local stores to online retailers like Amazon. With so many different styles available, it’s easy to find something that suits your style and budget perfectly – whether it’s an authentic looking outfit or just something fun for Halloween!

The Mandalorian is one of those shows that has found a way to make its lead character both compelling and relatable. The Mandalorian is a character in the Star Wars franchise. In the first season of The Mandalorian, the character wears unique armor that would be difficult to replicate without going broke. Here is how you could recreate the costume on a budget.
The easiest way to make the helmet is with an airsoft gun replica helmet. This will save you time and energy when trying to recreate such a detailed item of the costume. You can find these helmets on Amazon for around $40-$60 dollars. That’s a steal compared to what you would pay for someone else to make it for you.
For the rest of the costume, I recommend buying a simple black or white jumpsuit from your local Walmart or Amazon and then painting it silver with spray paint. You probably already have some spray paint lying around your garage from previous projects so this shouldn’t be too much of an extra purchase. The jumpsuit will cost about $20, and I’m assuming that you can find free spray paint in your garage so that’s another easy purchase to make.
The final touch is some brown leather gloves, which you can find at any department store for under $10 bucks. The boots are optional, but if you want them, then just buy some nice looking black boots!
