Morticia Addams Costume for a Halloween Celebration

Halloween is the most fun and exciting time of the year for children, especially as they are old enough to venture out with their friends. The festivities are also exciting for parents who get to see their children in costume and celebrate the holiday together. But how do you choose a costume? Well, we’re here to help! And we’re going to tell you why Morticia Addams is an excellent choice.

She is known for her dark sense of humor and long black hair (which was actually a wig on the actress). She has a very pale complexion that makes her look like she is dead (but no worries, she’s not!). Her husband Gomez often called her “mort-mort” or “morty” as a pet name, which eventually evolved into Morticia. The name stuck as she became one of the most recognizable television moms of all time.

A few years ago, I was enamored with the Addams Family. I was particularly interested in Morticia Addams. She seemed to have a flair for the dramatic and this inspired me to make my own Morticia costume for Halloween.

Last month I had the opportunity to participate in a Halloween party at the office. It was a lot of fun. The games and activities were well organized, the food was superb, and everyone came dressed in costumes from famous TV series or movies.

Charles Addams is an American illustrator who died in 1988 but is still known for his dark humor and macabre characters. He has also been referred to as ‘the master of the macabre’.

After his death, his original drawings were auctioned off at Sotheby’s New York. This was in 1996, and more than 200 of his art works were sold to private collectors and museums for a total of $7 million!

This year, I decided on a Morticia Addams costume. It was perfect! Simple, classic, and sexy. Since I was going to be wearing all black, I chose to use dark makeup to accentuate my pale skin.

For my hair, I used a combination of my own hair and a wig. First, I curled my hair into tight curls using a curling iron and spritzing each curl with hairspray. Then, I put the wig on top and secured it with bobby pins in the back.

I did not do anything special for my eyes or cheeks; I simply used black eyeliner and black mascara on my eyes, and bronzer for some definition on my cheeks. However, for my lips I did something special: first, I lined them in black. Then, I used a very dark red lipstick that had brown undertones and filled in the rest of my lips with it. To finish off the look, I used a cream highlighter (which is actually meant to be worn as shadow) over the lipstick to give it an eerie iridescent sheen.
