The miraculous ladybug costume is a magical tool used by Marinette and Adrien to transform into their superhero alter-egos.
The transformation begins with the user shouting “SPOTS ON!”, followed by a flash of bright light, pink spots, and the transformation is complete. The user can also accessorize their suit with various items such as gloves, masks, weapons, and even capes.
Marinette’s miraculous ladybug costume is red and black with black spots on the torso resembling a ladybug shell. The mask has black antennae attached to it which are connected to two red spots on each side. On the back of the costume are two red wings with black spots on top, but they don’t work or serve any purpose. Marinette’s hair is tied up in a high ponytail while wearing the costume.
Adrien’s miraculous ladybug costume is similar to Marinette’s except that it is blue and black instead of red with blue spots instead of red ones.
