Predator vs. Predator is a blog dedicated to the best movie in the history of the human race: The Predator (2018).

The movie is a sequel, but does not follow the continuity established by the previous films in the franchise. Instead, it sets itself up as a direct continuation of the first film, and ignores everything that came after.

The film takes place thirty years after Dutch and his team encountered the Predator in Val Verde and defeated it. It stars Boyd Holbrook as Quinn McKenna, a military sniper who encounters a second Predator while on a mission in Mexico.

As soon as he returns from his mission, he is sent to a base for psychiatric evaluation under Dr. Casey Bracket (Olivia Munn), where he meets other people who have seen aliens or other strange creatures, like Coyle (Keegan-Michael Key), Baxley (Thomas Jane), Nettles (Augusto Aguilera), Lynch (Alfie Allen), Nebraska Williams (Trevante Rhodes), and Nettles’ dog Reggie.

At the same time, Traeger (Sterling K. Brown) has captured and is trying to interrogate the Predator, who he calls “the asset.” To do so, he has enlisted help

The Predator is the greatest film of all time. Maybe.

I’m not sure, but I’m pretty sure it is. It’s either that or The Last Starfighter. But I’m going to go with The Predator – if only because the title of this blog would be ludicrous otherwise.

So what makes The Predator a better film than Terminator 2? Or Toy Story? Or The Godfather? Well, in the first place, there’s no way to compare films across genres. You can’t really compare a comedy to a drama to an action movie and say one is better than the others – they’re simply different experiences. The best you can do is call them “the best comedy,” “the best drama,” and “the best action movie.” But I think it’s fair to say that within their genres, some films are better executed than others. And I think The Predator is the best action movie of all time.

Why? Because it has everything anyone could want in an action film: humor, awesome special effects, cool characters, great acting… and it’s legitimately scary! When the Predator turns on its cloaking device, you actually cannot see anything at all – which is truly terrifying!

If you’ve never seen The Predator, watch it tonight –

The Predator franchise is one of the most important film series in the history of the human race. The latest installment, simply titled The Predator, opens on September 14, 2018. To celebrate this momentous occasion, I have decided to write a blog explaining why each of the five films in the series is better than all of the others and therefore why they are all perfect on an individual level while also being perfect as a collective whole. This will be a challenging task because that’s just how good these movies are.

The Predator (2018)

I haven’t seen this movie yet but I’m willing to bet that it’s easily the best one in the series. Sometimes you can just tell when something is right or wrong and my gut tells me that this movie is right. Also: Shane Black directed it and he’s pretty cool.
