Nefertiti Costume

Nefertiti was the beautiful wife of Pharaoh Akhenaten during the 18th dynasty. She has been called the “most beautiful woman in the world” and her likeness is instantly recognizable by her regal headdress with a cobra on it.

Cleopatra is arguably one of the most famous people from ancient Egypt. She was the last Egyptian pharaoh until her death in 30 B.C. Her life and death have become the stuff of legends, and she has been portrayed by many actresses throughout history including Elizabeth Taylor, Angelina Jolie, Claudette Colbert, Vivien Leigh, Theda Bara, Hedy Lamarr and more! Not only was she a renowned beauty but also a great leader.

Cleopatra was born in 69 B.C., and she became pharaoh at the age of 19 years old when her father died in 51 B.C. A year later she married her brother Ptolemy XIII with whom she had three children before divorcing him around 40 B.C. After Julius Caesar arrived in Alexandria in 48 B.C., they began an affair that resulted in a son named Caesarion. After Caesar’s assassination in 44 B.C., Cleopatra started a relationship with Mark Antony that lasted until their deaths in 30 B.C.

In my opinion, Cleopatra’s costumes are some of the most beautiful from ancient Egypt! She used to wear elaborate headdresses and jewelry as well as simple yet elegant dresses made from linen fabric or silk imported

History of Egyptian Costumes

Cleopatra was an Egyptian queen and the last pharaoh. Her name is a Greek word meaning “Glory of Her Father”. She is one of history’s most famous women because she used her vast beauty, intelligence, and power to influence the most powerful men of her time. She was born in 69 BC in Alexandria, Egypt and died on August 12th, 30 BC in Alexandria. Cleopatra was the daughter of Ptolemy XII Auletes (Ptolemy XII), who was also known as Ptolemy Neos Dionysos (New Dionysus). She had two younger brothers, Ptolemy XIII and Ptolemy XIV (who later became her husband). At the age of eighteen she became queen after her father died. In 51 BC she met Julius Caesar and they had a son named Caesarion. After meeting Mark Antony she had three children with him, Alexander Helios, Cleopatra Selene II, and Ptolemy Philadelphus. Cleopatra’s life story has been written about by many historians and is often told in plays and movies but there are still many unknown facts about her.

Cleopatra is one of the most famous women in history, yet there isn’t much record of what she actually looked like. There are a few statues and busts that have been found, but they don’t really help us get a great idea of her appearance. She was also very famous for her beauty, so we can be sure that she was at least average looking. The best idea we have of how she may have looked comes from portraits on coins that were minted during her reign. From these images we can tell that she had long hair with bangs, a long face and aquiline nose, full lips and a rounded chin. All put together, the description makes Cleopatra look a bit like Elizabeth Taylor in the 1963 film version of “Cleopatra.” So if you want to dress as Cleopatra this Halloween, go ahead and wear your Liz Taylor costume!
