One thing I love about Halloween is the costumes! The more creative, the better. This year however, I’m on a budget and have to think of ways to save money. For this blog post, I’ll be sharing 4 tips for saving money on a Halloween costume.

Tip 1: Search for costumes online.

Searching online is the easiest way to find low prices on costumes. This is especially true if you are looking for something specific. A few sites I like to use are Amazon and eBay. If you’re willing to buy used, you can get an even better deal!

Tip 2: Get crafty!

If you’re artistic or good at sewing and crafting, making your own costume can be a lot of fun! You can find many DIY tutorials online that show you how to make your own costume from scratch.

Tip 3: Visit a thrift store.

Thrift stores have everything you need to make a unique costume! You can find clothes, accessories, old toys…. the sky’s the limit! If the store has a costume section, even better! Check out Goodwill or Salvation Army if there’s one nearby.

Tip 4: Don’t buy anything new.

If you have a good costume, you can be anyone or anything you want to be! However, the next best thing about halloween after dressing up is saving money. Think about what you already have in your closet that could be used as part of a costume. Do you own an all black ensemble? Maybe you can be a gothic princess! Or are you always wearing stripes and florals? You could go as a 50’s pin-up girl! A lot of people have clothes in their closet that can easily be used for costumes and don’t even know it. Using what you already own for costumes is a great way to save money because it is free!

Halloween is synonymous with one thing: candy. But if you’re like me, you love the idea of dressing up in costumes just as much (if not more) than you love the idea of getting free candy from strangers.

Unfortunately, there’s a catch when it comes to costumes and Halloween: They can be expensive. Even if you’re just buying them in one of those pop-up Halloween shops that only exist for a month out of the year, they often cost more than $50.

But don’t fret! If you’re on a budget, there are still ways to get creative and dress up without spending a lot of money. Here are four tips to help you do just that:

1. Make your own costume: If you’re crafty and Pinterest-savvy, this is a great option for getting creative without breaking the bank.

2. Buy pieces of a costume instead of an entire kit: This is another great way to save money while also ensuring that no one else will be wearing the same costume as you!

3. Wear something you already have in your closet: It might sound crazy, but chances are, if you look in your closet, there’s something there that could serve as part of a costume or even an entire

Halloween is just around the corner, and for many, this means it’s time to get creative with costumes. There are so many ways to save money on a good costume, and I’d like to share some of my favorites with you.

First of all, don’t spend a lot of money on your costume. You’ll probably wear it once and then have it sit in your closet for years. Instead, consider using materials you already have available to you.

For example, take an old white sheet and cut out eye holes. Then put the sheet over your head and go as a ghost! This is one of my favorite costumes because it’s easy to make and there are very few materials involved.

Another way to save money on a Halloween costume is to be clever with what you have on hand. For example, if you have an old black skirt or dress, buy a cheap witch hat at any party store and voila! You’re a witch! (You can add color by getting colored hairspray from the same store.)

If you’re going out with friends for Halloween, consider group costumes that play off each other. For example, if one friend wears a hot dog costume, another can be a ketchup bottle! This saves each person less

Who doesn’t love a good ghost costume? It’s cheap, easy to make, and the kids love it! Here are some tips for the perfect ghost costume.

1. Get the right kind of sheet. The key with a sheet is that it has to be white, soft and not too thick. You don’t want anything scratchy or rough against your skin. What you want is something that will flow like a real ghost as you walk around. This means no synthetic fabrics! If you’ve got an old cotton sheet lying around, this is ideal BUT if you don’t, Target has some really great (and cheap!) sheets in their bedding section. I always buy my twin-sized bedsheets for about $7 at Target for all my costumes.

2. Cut holes in it. This part is fun! You get to use the kitchen scissors, which all kids love!**

3. Think about the accessories you can use to complete your look, and then find some of those items around the house.
