If you’ve been looking for the perfect dinosaur costume for your child, look no further. Here at Dinosaur Costumes we have spent years developing a process that ensures that our dinosaur costumes are the best dinosaur costumes out there.
We’re not trying to make this sound like a big deal or anything, but it really is pretty big. When we say we’re making dinosaur costumes, what we mean is not just any old dinosaur costume. We’re making the type of dinosaur costume that makes people stop and think about how awesome it is to see someone in a dinosaur costume.
So what makes our dinosaur costumes so great? Well, we have a few trade secrets, but here’s the most important thing: our dinosaur costumes are incredibly realistic. Not just in the way they look (we’ll get to that in a minute), but also in the way they move.
Obviously you want your child’s costume to look as much like a real dinosaur as possible, but what good is that if it doesn’t move like one too? That’s why we’ve put so much time into engineering realistic movement into every one of our dinosaur costumes. We don’t want your kids just looking like dinosaurs–we want them acting like them too!

The best dinosaur costumes have all of the following:
1. Wings (if applicable)
2. Tail
3. Bright colors
4. Multiple people to wear it
5. Realistic features, such as feathers, scales, etc.
The next question is what kinds of dinosaur costumes are there? There are two major types: theropods (like T-Rex) and sauropods (like Brontosaurus). However, both types can be very fun!
This Halloween, my daughter wants to be a dinosaur.
I’ve been thinking about this for a while, and I’ve come to the conclusion that there are four main questions that need to be answered in order to design a good dinosaur costume for kids.
Question 1: How scary? This is a balance between what level of scariness your child will tolerate, and what level you can bear to watch. Some kids love it when their costumes are so scary that other children scream at the sight of them; some would rather have costumes that make adults say “oh, how cute!” You know your own kid best; just make sure you’re aware of what you’re getting yourself into.
Question 2: How heavy? Some kids love heavy costumes; they feel like they’re wearing an actual suit of armor. Others want something that’s light and easy to move in. Some dinosaurs like T. rex were big and heavy; others were small and light on their feet. If your child wants to wear a costume that’s either bigger or heavier than usual, think carefully about whether she’ll be happy with it over the course of trick-or-treating, or if it’ll just make her tired and cranky.
Question 3: Does it breathe well? If
A dinosaur costume must satisfy two criteria:
The costume must look like a dinosaur. If you can’t tell that the person wearing it is supposed to be a dinosaur, then the costume has failed.
The costume must make the wearer appear to be scary and/or awesome. If you see a dinosaur costume and aren’t impressed, then again, the costume has failed.
