I made my first fortune teller costume from a long black skirt that I already owned and an old bed sheet. I cut the bed sheet into several strips of fabric that were about 3 inches wide. Then I tied the strips to my skirt with safety pins so it looked like an extra long gypsy skirt. It was very simple but it worked well and looked great!
