This Halloween, don’t be that person who throws on a t-shirt with a catchy pop-culture reference and calls it a costume. As we approach the end of the month, I wanted to call attention to some of my favorite movies and help you figure out some costume ideas based off of them.
My first idea is Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride. It’s a movie near and dear to me because it was one of the first movies I ever saw as a child. And I have always loved the characters in this movie.
To dress like Emily (the Corpse Bride), all you need is an old blue dress and some flowers for your hair (but if you want to get really into character, put some white makeup on your face). Make sure that not all of your wounds are showing because she’s still trying to keep up appearances in front of Victor!
Victor is pretty simple: just put on a tuxedo! To make it more fitting for the film, try rolling around in some dirt or even covering yourself in mud before putting on your clothes. Make sure you don’t ruin them though!
And finally, General
Not everyone can be a superhero. Some of us just want to be the villain. That’s why this Halloween, you should take your inspiration from Tim Burton and go as the Corpse Bride!
