want to create a winne the pooh bunny outfit for halloween? here’s how you do it.

step 1: make a pattern

to begin, draw out your pattern. make sure to include seam allowance in your measurements.

i used this tutorial from one little minute blog to help me make my pattern.

step2: cut fabric out

you will need two pieces of pattern for your bunny ears, and then cut two pieces of lining for each ear as well.

once you have all your fabric cut out, sew the lining pieces together. then add the lining to the bunny ears and sew all around the edges, leaving a small opening to turn inside out.

so now you should have two bunny ears that look like this…

now take the two bunny ears and sew them together along one edge. set aside for now.

next step is to sew up the entire body of the bunny by sewing up the sides and across the bottom (do not sew up top) and then turning right side out. you should now have a body that looks like this…

sew up edges of arm holes all around (do not sew together!) and turn right side out so they look like this…

The classic tale of Winnie the Pooh and his friends from the Hundred Acre Wood is a great story that has been around for ages. You must admit it, we all still enjoy watching Winnie the Pooh and his friends.

This year I decided to take my love for Winnie the Pooh a step further, by creating my very own Winnie the Pooh Costume.

We have a very simple winnie the pooh costume that is super easy to make and really adorable. We used this winnie the pooh costume for our infant daughter. It was very easy to make. You can change or adjust it easily to suit your needs or what you have on hand.

Follow these 3 easy steps to create a Winnie the Pooh costume.

Step 1: Find a bear suit. You can find one at your local thrift store, garage sale, or even on ebay.

Step 2: Sew the ears on. If you don’t know how to sew, you can use fabric glue, or just safety pin them on.

Step 3: Stuff the feet with paper or newspaper and add some black shoes. This way you can walk around all night with ease!

And there you have it! A Winnie the Pooh costume that’s as cute as can be!

Step 1: Make ears

First, cut out two large circles from the white felt (I used a bowl as a guide). These will be the inside of the ears. Then from the pink felt, cut out two smaller circles that fit inside the larger ones. Glue them together with hot glue.

Next, use a needle and thread to sew about halfway around the bottom of each ear. Now, stuff each ear with batting until they’re nice and full. Finish sewing each one closed.

Finally, turn each ear right side out, flatten them and glue to the headband.
