Where to Buy the Best Catwoman Costume

Catwoman is a character in the famous comic Batman series. I always liked her, even more for the fact that she looks like a woman and not an animal. I would usually wear a Catwoman costume to parties.

But when I was pregnant with my first child, I realized that being so conspicuous might be bad for my baby’s health. So I got tired of looking like a cat and decided to go back to the old outfit I used to wear as a kid, which was no longer fashionable but cheap and easy on my eyes.

This blog is about where to buy this particular kind of costume from a local store (no online shopping). This blog is also about the best way of buying cheap costumes online without getting ripped off by those evil sellers.

My favorite shop is a store called Costumes 4 Less, which has an entire page dedicated to catwomen in their catalog. I own the Catwoman costume they have on the page, and it’s fantastic.

You can buy just about any kind of catwoman costume you want online. For example, HalloweenCostumes.com has a huge selection of catwoman costumes for under $20. Or you could go to Amazon.com and buy a catwoman costume for $9.99. Or you could go to your local Costumes 4 Less and buy one for $10.99.

Catwoman costumes are sexy and fun, but they’re not cheap. However, many of the costumes I buy online are more reasonably priced than using a costume store.

I usually begin by searching for a catwoman costume at Amazon. They have a lot of options at reasonable prices, and you can get free shipping for any purchase over $50.

Next I check eBay for used costumes. I’m sure you’ve seen some amazing deals there (like this one). You can often find brand new catwoman costumes for less than $100.

From there I check Etsy.com and TheRealCostumes.com and other sites that sell handmade items. Most of these cost more than the Amazon-bought costume, but they’re still quite affordable if you buy one in bulk (e.g., 5).

I felt like a catwoman once. I was walking through a mall in Cincinnati, and there was this girl in a really cool-looking catwoman costume. She had the mask, the red bodysuit, and all the accessories. And she looked so cute, walking down the street with her head up and her tail flicking back and forth.

I mean, I love cats, but I’ve never been able to pull off looking like one. I’m too skinny and tall for it, and I can’t do any of the cute moves with my tail. But that’s okay; I’ve always liked dressing up, anyway.

I guess that’s why I was so surprised when this girl came out of nowhere, jaywalked across the street right in front of me, then stopped in front of a store window to watch me cross the street. She didn’t have time to get back into costume before I got there.

I told her what happened: that a minute ago she was wearing her catwoman outfit, and now she wasn’t. “Yeah,” she said. “That’s what my friend did.” Then she started laughing.” She knows where to buy the best catwoman costume,” she said. “She’ll be out soon.”

I decided to write about this because I am going to be wearing a costume for Halloween, and I think it would be nice if someone, somewhere was writing about all the options available.

I don’t want to write about how to make a catwoman costume or where the best place is to buy one. That seems like something you could find on Google pretty easily. Instead, I will tell you where I got mine, who designed it, and what it costs. If that’s what you want, go to the Internet and buy it yourself!

Outfit:

This is a shopping cart lady costume (biggest one they had). It was $20 at Target.

Costume Designer:

I found this on etsy.com. It’s an outfit modified from a Lady Gaga video shoot. Cost: $40 on Ebay.

Costumes:

There are many options for this type of outfit from which to choose:

-Catwoman shoes (like these) at Target for $17 each or at Amazon for $6 each. A lot of people have written about these shoes which look like pointy cat ears with little pink straps on them (look under “Catwoman Shoes”) -Cat paws have sold out everywhere but Amazon for $4 –

Most costume stores have a website, and they often look very professional. But these sites are often not a good place to buy costumes.

A few years ago I bought an outfit for Halloween. The box was in perfect condition, but the hanger wasn’t, so it looked like a piece of junk when I pulled it out of the box.

However, something about the quality bothered me: It just didn’t seem professional. It felt cheap.

I called customer service to ask what might have happened to the hanger. They told me that only one or two out of every 50 purchases could be wrong, and all returned costumes must be sent back in new boxes with brand-new hangers, except for those for which there was no original box available at all.

That sounded fair enough, but I still had some misgivings about my purchase: I wanted to be able to wear it without worrying about damaging it, but if I took it apart again and tried to put it back together again I’d probably mess up the hanger again.

Plus, while they were great at picking up returns from post offices, they didn’t have any warehouse space where they could store returned costumes until they could send them out again; instead they had to keep them

I am a sucker for cats. I have four, and they are all rescues. I could never bring myself to buy one as a pet. It just seemed wrong. So instead I rescue them, thinking that might give me the right to dress them up in my own version of kitty couture.

I tried to make them the same color as their fur so that you don’t notice how much of it is fake. The fur looks real enough because it’s sewn on with a special technique that makes it look like fur, even though it’s actually made of foam and fabric.

The catwoman costume has slits cut into the sides of the legs to make it easier for me to walk in it, which means that if I want to walk around in public I have to wear shorts underneath (you can’t see the fake fur). The wings are attached with magnets, so they can be folded away when they aren’t needed so that you don’t need any padding or wires under your arms when you fly through the air.*

*The wing tips are lined with foam rubber, but only half of each wing is covered by the fabric; this gives the illusion of a solid wing without any loose threads or feathers that might tip off observers that there isn’t
