The Queen of Hearts Costume Hits a Royal Bad Note

The Queen of Hearts Costume Hits a Royal Bad Note: Fashion Blog about the bad quality of a cosplay manufactured by queenchatura.com and how to deal with in case of an order being delayed or not delivered at all.

I would just like to preface this article with the fact that I have purchased from Queen Chatura before and had no issues. The costume I received was great quality and fit perfectly. However, I ordered another costume recently, specifically the Queen of Hearts costume, which is pictured below.

The costume has arrived and it is badly constructed. The red fabric is hanging off the corset 3 inches below it, making it appear as if I am wearing red underwear over my black top. The heart-shaped bodice was not cut perfectly symmetrically, so when worn it appears as if my stomach is squashed. The skirt’s elastic waistband rolls up into itself when worn, which is not only uncomfortable but also looks unprofessional. The skirt was also obviously hemmed by hand: the stitching is uneven with loose threads hanging from it. There are also some rips on the skirt that were obviously there before shipping because they were covered with tape on the inside and out!

All in all this costume is a complete mess and

In the blog post “The Queen of Hearts Costume Hits a Royal Bad Note” (queenchatura.com/blog) author Chatura Jayakody warns its readers not to order queenofheartsdress.com costumes because of a poor quality, which has been confirmed by many customers. It also gives some useful tips on how to deal with misunderstanding between you and the seller, when the product is delayed or not delivered at all.

In my view, this is a really helpful information for everybody who wants to buy a costume for an upcoming event and doesn’t know where to look for it, due to the fact that there are so many companies that sell costumes.

I received a costume from queenchatura.com. It was my first cosplay and I decided to play the Queen of Hearts. I ordered it with plenty of time as I didn’t know how long it would take to get to me in Canada.

The costume arrived 2 days before the convention and it was a good thing too because there were multiple things wrong with it;

– The bodice is not made of leather, as advertised, but vinyl

– The bodice was also very small and wouldn’t close properly, so I had to add extra straps in order for it to fit

– The heart on the headband fell off after only being worn for 5 minutes (I ended up adding velcro)

– The train was very short (not nearly enough material) and too narrow (it wouldn’t lay right) so I added an extra layer of red material at the bottom

– The hearts on the dress are just glued on, so many of them fell off after only being worn once. Also they were unevenly spaced, some as close together as 2 inches while others are almost a foot apart

– The hearts on the train also fell off when I tried to sew them on better

– There is supposed to be a choker included

The Queen of Hearts Costume was a nightmare to deal with.

I was hoping to post my finished Queen of Hearts costume today, but alas, a last minute problem has put the kibosh on that. So I am going to use this opportunity to warn anyone who is ordering a Queen of Hearts dress off eBay to be sure the seller you pick has an excellent rating and a return policy that seems reasonable.

I ordered my dress from queenchatura.com and they have been great so far – they refunded me when it came in as I had requested (it was too long and too small across the bust), and when I asked for it to be remade with alterations, they agreed. But after over a month of waiting for my new dress to arrive, I finally got one that is in some way even worse than the first one! The bust fits now but the waist is about 3 inches too large, so the bodice hangs off me like a sack. Also, the skirt is still too long – it’s supposed to be tea length and instead it’s ankle length on me – which makes the proportions all wrong. The fabric has changed from the original order as well – it looks like they used up their leftover fabric so now it’s made out of cheap looking synthetic satin instead of cotton (which they told me

Ordered a costume from queenchatura.com in late October and received nothing but excuses until I filed a complaint with PayPal on December 16th, at which point I received the costume (minus one of the accessories). I never would have received the costume at all if it weren’t for PayPal, so use caution when ordering from them (queenchatura.com).

The costume is of poor quality, as you can see in the photos below (taken with my phone; better images available upon request). The fabric is thin and cheap, the seams are frayed–especially the seams holding the white collar and cuffs to the red dress, which is how I know it was made by an amateur and not a “professional” seamstress like I was promised.

I understand that cosplay costumes need to be made to fit and sometimes take some time to assemble. However, don’t make promises that you can’t keep or will take months to fulfill. If you’re going to sell something online, use a service like PayPal that allows your customers to file claims if they feel they’ve been ripped off or lied to.

Also note: queenchatura.com uses free email addresses (gmail, hotmail), which is another red flag–why

When I was a kid, I was obsessed with Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland. She was the first character that I fell in love with. I loved her bright red dress, her beautiful crown and croquet mallet. I wanted to be her for Halloween when I was little and my dream eventually came true when I was 16.

My mother is an amazing seamstress and she made me the most fabulous costume. It was like something out of a movie. When I wore it, people stared at me wherever we went. It was so much fun!

That’s why when my friend told me about this online costume store that sells a Queen of Hearts costume almost as awesome as mine but only for $40, I had to check it out immediately! Unfortunately, what awaited me on their website was not the light-hearted fashion fun that caught my attention, but rather a serious concern for any future customer who purchases from them: The quality of the costumes is really, really bad.

The pictures on their website make all the costumes look magnificent and well made, with vibrant colors and all the details you want in your dress-up adventures. But after ordering two costumes -a Mad Hatter costume (which my friend ordered) and a King of Hearts costume (for
